Treated my spouse here foe dinner we've recently decided to go mostly vegan.Here on the eastcoast in Jersey their aren't many options unless you go to New York and even then it's still scarce in my opinion since moving back from the Westcoast where vegan options are everywhere 😀. I lived literally around the corner from this place since Dec, 2018 and I would always see this restaurant pop up on Doordash as well as ubereats ,I'd drive by it when they 1st opened but too scared to stop in because I'm a foodie! I recently moved in December of 2021 and am upset that I never stopped in sooner. Indiya has a really sensual ambiance. As soon as you open the door the fragrance of the spices hits your nose and you feel a sense of warmth, the lighting is just right.The beautiful painting on the wall of a woman attracts you even more.Our waiter did an awesome job.I had chicken Tikka Labradora and my spouse had a lamb dish which was presented very well I may say.My spouse is NOT a foodie but he did like his dish! We also had Mango juice & simosas.The establishment is BYOB. We had a window seat while we enjoyed the native music they played. The place is very polished and cleaned including the bathroom. The wait time for our food was about 30 minutes.I also love the way they served the dishes,it made you feel very exclusive.Please give this place a try! Post Pandemic Update 2024: Lunch Buffet is back weekends, that's the I guess good news for those who want to try. On the flip side, it's now $18 from pre-pandemic $11 for the same food served pre-pandemic!!! Normally one of my ‘go to’ places for a go lunch on weekends, I stop in today around 1:30 pm and place is empty. Buffet remains same as usual only this time, food is not so good. Chicken Tandoori is dry, tasteless. Naan…like cardboard, other offerings same old stuff. Saving grace was eggplant dish. I bring this to attention of Jai (a mainstay waiter /manager here) and he tells me buffet has been out since 12:00pm and as such the chicken would be dry (never mind it not being covered to retain moisture!). By this time it’s close to 2pm (they close lunch 2:30). I ask for fresher, less dry chicken and am told it’s limited to a few pieces since they will be closing soon. I get two pieces and although not dry, it didn’t taste as good as usual. What a disappointment! More disappointing however is the inference that had I come earlier, the food would have been better???!! Note to chef and manager……DO BETTER! If you’re advertising lunch buffet 12-2:30…. Make sure it’s fresh, flavorful, innovative during time offered and not blame customer for coming in after 12……not good for business...

Went there for a celebration dinner with 5 other people and this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever endured. We had a 6:30 reservation and were promptly seated and ignored for almost 30 mins. When they finally took our order the waiter was quiet, refused to speak louder and made things more difficult than needed. He brought us our food, we couldn’t hear anything he said and had to figure out on our own who’s food was who’s. Which I guess was ok seeing it was 5 minutes later when he brought out the rice and naan so we could finally start eating anyway. He came back around after a while and asked if we wanted more water. We all said yes and he said oh I don’t have enough so he filled 3 of the 6 glasses and than 10 minutes later came back to fill the other 3. He clears the plates when we’re done, asks if we want any boxes, asks if we want any dessert and than made us beg for him to bring the freaking check to us. Not shockingly because we were a “large” party of 6 people the gratuity was included in the bill. Guaranteeing that this horrible server still got his money while providing the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I definitely will never be setting foot into this establishment ever again. Which is a shame because the food was actually good, but 2 hours to serve 6 people...
