My husband and I like to "eat out" once a week, which means go pick up some take out from a local restaurant and bring it home for a movie night. Not a large chain, or fast food. Local businesses owned by people within our community, because we want our money to help support our community.

We were shocked and saddened to see your business providing both indoor dining and bar service while Region 4 is still under mitigations which prohibit those actions specifically to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Our region currently has one of the highest rates of transmission in IL. We are in the middle of a pandemic, our hospitals are full, and our staff for said hospitals is critically low while treating some of the sickest patients I have ever seen.

We can't get behind a business that would prioritize money over lives. I understand that it probably isn't even about profits at this time, just trying to get by and keep people employed. If people would have been doing what they should have been doing all along, maybe things would have been different and it wouldn't be as bad as it is now. But it is that bad right now and we choose to spend our money elsewhere in the community where they are not contributing to the spread of disease that just yesterday took the lives of 140 Illinoisans and in less than a year over 336,000 Americans.

With that being said, your food was almost always great and your servers were some of the friendliest around. All restaurant staff that were seen had face masks on. Please reconsider your business model during one of our community's darkest times. Stay safe.

ETA: Region 4 is now under phase 4 mitigations allowing indoor dining at 25% capacity and 6 ft apart or with impenetrable barrier as of 2/4/21....

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE MOST OF THE TIME,UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF AND BARTENDERS THAT DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE MIXED DRINKS NOT EVEN THE ONES ON THERE LIST . THEY MESS UP YOUR ORDER MOST OF THE TIME,AND RUDE OWNERS.THEY ONLY CARRY CRAFT BEER ONLY SO IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A ,ANHAUSER BUSH DRAFT YOUR GOING SOME WERE ELSE.YOU CAN BUY BOTTLES AT A STORE OR GAS STATION SO WHY PAY MORE AT A BAR TO BE BABY FEED YOURSELF.I HAVE HAD BAD FOOD FROM THERE MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS AND MESSED UP ORDERS BUT I ONLY KEPT GOING BACK BECAUSE ITS A BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE.I WILL NEVER RETURN IVE HAD ENOUGH.THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID BECAUSE ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS ON HERE ARE THERE FRIENDS FAMILY AND COWORKERS..MOST OF ALL IT WAS GOOD WHEN THE OWNERS FIRST OPENED IT BUT HAS WENT DOWN HILL IN THE PAST YEARS.I THINK ITS BECAUSE THE OWNERS ARE NOT THERE AS MUCH ANYMORE AND THE FACT THAT THERE TRYING TO HAVE THERE KIDS WORK THERE THAT CRY LIKE BABYS WHEN THEY MESS UP A ORDER.. FACT IS ITS JUST NOT WHAT IT WAS AND THEY NEED TO TRY A LOT HARDER TO KEEP THERE CUSTOMERS...THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO SAY ..NOT A PLACE TO CUTLOOSE BECAUSE THEY MITE TELL YA TO LEAVE..AND THEY WERE RUDE TO MY MOTHER ON HER BIRTHDAY..I HAVE SPENT TENS OF THOUSANDS THERE OVER THE YEARS BUT I HAVE HAD ENOUGH..TRY FRIDAYS ON MAIN STREET OR THE OTHER BARS ON THE STRIP BEFORE COMING TO...

This is just a general review, no one thing really deserves two stars but collectively, the whole experience was. The food was slow to arrive; this feels like they had a lot of orders (though you couldn't tell by the number of tables) and limited staffing. The food itself was bland, mixed up, and delayed. A medium rare steak that was half and half; half medium rare and have well done. Baked potato that was over cooked then assured a new one would be out in 5 minutes (more like 10) that was entirely lacking in the flavor department.
