This place is my new favorite Chinese spot in the area! Dining in is great here, good ambience and the music is non distracting from the conversation. Our food came out very hot and fresh. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and the general tso's chicken. The white rice was fresh and went great with the teriyaki sauce. The steamed lo mein was a great add to the general tso's chicken as well. Overall this place is a great stop if you are looking for no-fuss Chinese fine dining or a quick takeout meal.

Very affordable rates for lunch , hot and sour soup was thick consistency . Fried rice was good . They add too much sauces to chicken , if you don't like too much sauces . Just tell them easy on sauce . Egg rolls were too oily .

Food is delicious, and fast. The place is very comfortable and relaxing, and the service is very good. I don't like that they charge $3.50 for a 16 oz bottle of soda, that's too high for no refill.

These ratings are comparing Peking Garden with other Chinese food places in the Edwardsville area (so including Glen Carbon, Collinsville, Maryville, Alton, Wood River). The food is good! Fresh, appealing, good colors and textures. Everything is well prepared. The only reason I don’t give it 5 starts is that the dishes I tried were a little bit bland. The sauce for tofu curry was not very flavorful (tasted a bit like chicken broth though I know it’s a vegetarian dish), and the sauce for garlic broccoli was more sweet and salty than it was garlicky. Just not taking advantage of the flavor potential of these dishes, and compared with other curries and garlic sauces in Midwestern Chinese restaurants, not impressive. But the tofu was expertly cooked, with a nice crisp outside and soft inside. The cashews in the cashew chicken were soft and sweet as well as nutty—delicious! The deep fried appetizers were crisp and flavorful (perfect wontons and crab Rangoon) and the vegetable soup was savory and nuanced in flavor. So, overall, I think this is really an excellent place to get Chinese food in the area. Prices are comparable to other places. There was space to accommodate a large group, and the owner-server was pleasant, attentive, skillful, and also honest—when she was understaffed and didn’t have the capacity to prepare mixed drinks, she just said so. No problem with overpromising, which I truly appreciate. Comfortable, homey, family atmosphere. We will absolutely choose this place every time for Chinese,...

Awful experience. Avoid unless you like them giving you what they want rather than what you order. We Ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken large with fried rice, order of pork fried rice (she interrupts me to ask chicken or pork & I respond pork) chicken lo mein large, chicken w/ vegetable lunch plate with (she asks white or fried rice, i respond all with fried rice please ) , and order of crab Rangoon. When I get there to pick up the to go order she asks what I ordered and I say sweet & sour chicken, she responds "when I ask chicken or pork you said pork." I can you just add a sweet & sour chicken with fried rice then. She goes to the back comes back the total is $63.40 which I pay in cash. She bring 2 bags out tied shut. I leave and go home. I get 1/2 Fried rice, lunch plate has white rice, both sweet & sour containers, the lo mein, & 2 containers of white rice. I call up immediately, explain the problem am told to hold they don't understand. I explain to a second person who responds there is a $1.25 up charge for fried rice. Price was not discussed when I ordered, nor was it discussed when I came to pick up the order. The first time money was discussed was when she came back from adding the sweet & sour pork (supposedly with fried rice) and said the total was $63.40. I told them I would make sure I wrote this review and they couldn't have cared less. Lousy customer service, small portions, and do not care about...

This place was my families favorite since I can remember, over 30 years!!! I brought my family there for the first time in 15 years and I was blown away!!! Everything was as perfect as I remember it, our kids were SO excited about every detail, as were we! I LOVE that they had crispy noodles, red sauce and spicy mustard as a start when you sit down!! We had the BoBo Platter for 4, AMAZING, EVERY single bite of everything was PERFECT!! The BEST ribs in the entire world when I was a kid, have not lost their touch, and now my kids are saying the same!! They still had the little grill in the middle of the platter which the whole family loved that neat fire addition to the tables ambiance!! They even bring you wet wipes after the ribs!! We also got the most AMAZING Empress Chicken, Beef with Broccoli and Chicken Lo Mein!! Even the white rice was a nice compliment!! We also ordered some hot tea, which was perfectly piping hot in a personal tea pot!! It was an AMAZING companion to the meal and the amazing service!!! Happiest meal we've had!!! I feel SO blessed that I had SO many amazing memories here as a child and now, my children can have the same!! I even have food allergies now and had 0 problems!! The price isn't bad considering the food actually provided sustenance and we weren't hungry shortly after like many Chinese restaurants!! Great quality food and service, we WILL be back as long as...
