I love an ayce sushi moment! So, come with me to Jei Sushi! 📍5490 Powers Center Pt Located on the north end, they offer AYCE, a la carte, and entrees. Now, the all you can eat comes with select appps, salad, soup, sushi, and nigiri. Now, entrees are not included, but can take care of the non sushi eaters in your group. They have both seating at the sushi bar, and tables. The quality remained the same from the first time we had been. So, if you are craving AYCE sushi on the north end, come support the small locally owned business. They’ve been around for eight years and we want to see them keep going! ##coloradospringsfoodies##sushi##japanesefood##fyp##coloradosprings

Savor the delicate dance of flavors in the signature roll, where succulent slices of tuna and creamy avocado are encased in a tender embrace of perfectly seasoned rice, adorned with a whisper of sesame seeds and a drizzle of tangy eel sauce. Or indulge in the indulgent decadence of the Dragon Roll, where plump shrimp tempura meets the creamy richness of ripe avocado, crowned with a regal flourish of unagi and a scattering of crisp tobiko. But it is not only the culinary creations that elevate Jei Sushi to greatness; it is the unparalleled dedication to service and hospitality that truly sets it apart. The staff, a cadre of consummate professionals, exude warmth and grace as they guide guests through their culinary odyssey, offering recommendations with the expertise of seasoned sommeliers and ensuring that every need is anticipated and met with effortless grace. In a city teeming with gastronomic delights, Jei Sushi stands as a shining beacon of culinary excellence, a testament to the timeless allure of Japanese cuisine and the transcendent power of a truly exceptional dining experience. There’s a sign they proudly display here that reads something like: “Come as friends, leave as family!” That sign accurately highlights why Jei Sushi is so special! The friendliness and direct customer interaction from the chefs, staff, and owners, makes for a special dining experience every time! You really do walk away feeling like family. This eager enjoyment of the place, trickles over to the other customers too. I’ve walked away making friends with fellow Jei Sushi patreons just by sitting next to them at the bar! Did I mention the sushi here is really good? It is! Probably the best in town. I have too many favorites to list, but I usually start with the Upside Down Shrimp, Cheyenne Mountain, Jei Roll, and Helen Hunt. Ooh ooh, also the Basil Salmon, After Burner, and really, any Nigiri. Oh don’t forget Calamari, Mussels, and Shrimp Shumai! I told you, too many favorites! Better yet, put your trust into the sushi chefs hands and let him or her surprise you! They often make off the menu items that are really good and won’t let you down. Hint: Ask for the Toiletbowl and Yi Roll In closing… I like to liken this place to a dive. It's hard to define what makes a dive a dive, but you know it when you’re in one—it sort of feels like home. So stop reading my review and eat here, and please enjoy!

Hands down worst sushi experience we have ever had. Went in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was rated high on yelp and was close to our house so we thought we would try it. Two hours later we were hungry and asking for our check. We opted for the all you can eat. I should have known not to stay when were were seated by a wall that looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in a year or two. The table and dishes were washed but grungy with a greasy film on them. The all you can eat was $30 a person ($15 for kids under 12 I think). Pricing seemed reasonable for the quick eat establishment it appeared to be. The appetizers we wanted were “not available” with no other explanation given. The appetizers that were available took almost 15 minutes and appeared to be from a box. Our sushi took 45 minutes. We knew they were busy and the bar was very slammed so we understood. We had two servers, which honestly was terrible because neither one of them was taking responsibility for our table. Once we got our sushi we didn’t have plates and our son didn’t even have utensils to eat with. We had to ask when she came back 10 minutes later because we couldn’t flag her down. My son and husband wanted to order a second round and I flat out said it was going to take too long. 45 minutes later I finally got mad and told one of two servers we had somewhere to be and needed to leave. They offered to box our sushi, which had been apparently sitting somewhere unattended. Then they asked what our bill needed to be because apparently they forgot what we ordered. They had the gall to change us $83 for mediocre sushi and terrible service. They apologized it took so long but after two hours of sitting there I am very frustrated and...

Two horrible visits in a row! I recommended this place to some good friends of ours that visited Jei Sushi today, and they said the food and service was awful. They also mentioned the younger gentlemen behind the sushi counter was rude. I'm disappointed because the husband is active duty and has to leave for Germany in a couple days, so this was supposed to be an enjoyable experience for them. I had loved this place since I found it around 8 months ago, but the last time I was in to eat, I also had horrible service. The sushi was subpar compared to my previous visits. I thought it was a fluke, every business has a bad day here amd there. The younger gentlemen was also working behind the sushi counter then, and the male server ignored my guests and I for the first 25 mins. He also made comments about "sugar mamas" and possibly calling me in the middle of the night- despite me telling him I was married. I do believe he was joking, but I felt offended and thought it was in poor taste. The owners should be careful, someone could easily file a sexual harassment suit. And we will NOT be back if the service and food depends on the mood of the staff that day.

On previous visits, I really enjoyed meeting who appeared to be the owners. The lady seemed like a genuine business owner who cares about her customers, and the older gentleman makes delicious sushi. Maybe they can find out why things are so poor when they are not at the restaurant, but I'd rather not take the chance of spending our hard-earned money to eat here again...
