Union Station used to be awesome , 15 years ago. I went to a reunion show recently and was horribly disappointed. The food we ordered took over an hour to get, when we got it it was terrible. I understand its bar food, but it was dry, tasteless, and overpriced. The tables were gross, food stuck on them, they had not been cleaned in a long time, the menus were caked and crusty with who knows what. It took forever just to order food, not to mention it took forever to order drinks. They only had 2 bartenders on, and they might as well only had 1. I'm not sure if she was new or just didn't know what she was doing, the other one brought us our food because the one that took our order had no idea who's orders went were. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in ages, and it was dark. That tells you something. I accidentally dropped something under the table, and yeah, that was a big mistake. The only place that was clean was the lady's room. Unfortunately, I couldn't lock the stall door, and there was no actual door to the bathroom, which is the norm in some places, but I was afraid of being walked in on while going to the bathroom. Finally. It was so hot in there you could barely stand, and we were sitting. I had to go outside multiple times to cool down, or I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion. I only drank water, so it wasn't because I was drinking alcohol. We finally gave up and went home, and the first band hadn't even finished. I was really disappointed and sad because I don't go out much. I made an exception because I really wanted to see Last Suppers set. I payed 30 for my husband and I, my son paid 45 for his wife, roomate, and himself, my best friend paid 30 for his girlfriend and himself, my friend paid 15 and another friend and her boyfriend paid 30 for themselves. We all bought a sandwich and fries/chips. Multiple people bought drinks, and 5 left during Itis, and 3 left during Last Suppers set. Only 2 stayed for all 3 bands. That's 130 for the tickets alone. I work hard for my money, and it's really hard for me to get out. If I go out again, I will think long and hard before going here. It would take a lot for me to even consider it. We paid a lot of money to enjoy a show that we didn't...
Read moreMy first time and although the floor arrangement doesn't make a bunch if sense the staff was absolutely top notch. Bartenders were very enjoyable, the drinks were good and not watered down. The stage is pretty good and a decent lighting system. What shocked me the most was the clarity and power of the house sound. I'm a producer and engineer by trade and let me tell you it's hard to make professionally recorded tracks sound as full and balanced as this was. Terry, worked his butt off and really did a good, quick job of setting up the bands. I've been on stage as well and when the tech does everything possible to make sure the band has what it needs, they'll perform better. I saw a very good relationship between bands and front of house sound. Absolutely incredible experience, Randy is doing things right with his venue and I'd encourage anyone to check...
Read moreMy waitress, Sheyanne only had 2 tables. It took over 20 minutes to get our burgers. (Burgers were amazing!) I didnt get a refill on my drink for 30 minutes. We were handed two limes with her bare hand!! (For a dos equis). We were given no silverware or napkins and had to walk up to the bar to get them after waiting for her to come back and check on us (which she did not do). She informed us she was new and as a 26 year old who has always worked in the restaurant industry, I tried to be understanding. She stood around talking instead of being attentive and even had one of the bartenders hand her our burgers while continuing to do so. I understand being new, but she just didnt care. Never experienced such poor service in my life. The burgers are worth coming back.. but ill probably just get them to go next time. Oh, we were also OVER charged on our drinks...
