It’s usually great in the morning, but I just went to grab a strawberry açaí lemonade refresher and when I pointed out that there was no lemonade in the drink they took it back to remake it. Great, up until this point they were providing the Starbucks customer service expectations of remaking a drink if it came out wrong. However, the shorter brunette girl who actually remade my drink instead of remaking it from the start only poured out half of my drink, added lemonade and shook it up with more ice before giving it back to me. What I was basically given was a severely watered down version of the drink I had returned as a strawberry açaí lemonade refresher is made with part strawberry açaí refresher concentrate with lemonade used in place of water which they use to cut the concentrate down with in a regular strawberry açaí refresher. Not only that, but you’re not supposed to take the customers wrong drink, pour it back into a shaker and reshake it after you have already given it to the customer. Usually wrong drinks are thrown out or left with the customer. It was just really gross to see someone potentially spread germs like that because they didn’t know if I was sick or not (I’m not) and were potentially spreading my backwash all over their tools and shakers in the cold bar section of the store. If they’re so flippant with me, while I’m watching them remake my drink, then I can’t say what else they’re doing improperly. I’m only unsure of the afternoon schedule as usually the morning crew is really on top of their customer service and drink game…. It just seems like the afternoon crew is really...
Read moreI don’t usually post bad reviewed as I’m in customer service myself and know how challenging it can be but my experience at this location yesterday left a lot to be desired. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and was told they were out of white chocolate and neither of the “baristas” knew where to find the supply. I then asked for a salted caramel mocha and again was told that they didn’t know if they could make it. On of the young gentlemen went around the corner to check if they could find what they needed to make the drink and came back and told me that he knew what he needed to make the salted caramel. I was hesitant to go with the order as I got the impression that neither of them knew what they were doing or really cared for the company that they were representing. One of them told me that “the problem with Starbucks is that all their drinks are just syrups!” Even if that is the case, which I know is partly true, if you’re working for the company you don’t bash it to all its customers! Needless to say I ended up with some form of a salted caramel mocha that was absolutely dreadful and won’t be returning to this location again, even though it’s the most convenient in my local Safeway’s. Hopefully, whoever managers and staffs this location, will help their team members realize the importance of customer service and backing the product they’re selling......even if it is only to please...
Read moreThe one in Safeway
The baristas I've encountered here have been fine and I know they're not responsible for the seating area. Safeway is; that explains everything. I've reviewed the store and it continues to impress with terrible lighting, small selection, low to middling quality products, icky bathrooms but the seating area gets the brunt of neglect. I challenge you to pull a table from the wall and wonder how long that sticky mess has been ignored. There's four tables optimistically providing very cramped seating for 14 (but of course there might really be only 7 or 8 chairs). Safeway has no interest in utilizing the shop to invite comfort with the "generous" provision of one outlet. Yup. That's it.
Never tell readers they should or shouldn't go somewhere- that's not a review. A review describes and makes suggestions. This is a place to grab a beverage and go. It's not a comfortable hangout but will do in a...
