I took my fiance out to this restaurant for his birthday. This was our first time and I would never recommend this place to anyone who is hungry for decent itailan food. It started with the host, who ended up being out server too. She began to seat us at a table and we asked for a booth. Seeing as we were the only customers I didn't think it would be an issue. She responded by rolling her eyes and rudely saying "just sit anywhere you want". We ignored the rudeness and sat at our booth. Which was super filthy, sticky table, and the walls in the booths are disgustingly dirty, chipped, and stained. I guess it matched the rest of the atmosphere. We started with 2 cocktails, the pumpkin spice cocktails was fine. The blood orange cocktail had a feint flavor of orange but very watered down. When I told our host/server Ally, she just said "really?". This followed with a dirty look and she just walked away. Then we ordered our appetizer which was the baked stuffed mushrooms and italian wedding soup. This was emabrassing to italian wedding soup. No noodles, just watery meatballs and a broth that tasted like unseasoned hot water. The mushrooms were fine, only complaint would be no seasoning at all and the horseradish sauce was bland and tasted like mayonnaise. Onto our entrees, I ordered the jumbo sea scallops with sweet corn risotto. My fiance ordered the chicken barbarino. Our guest ordered a supreme pizza. We also ordered a togo pizza because we had such high hopes for the food. My fiances pasta dish was acceptable but, still bland. The pizza was not to our liking. Hard stale like crust. Very bland even with all the toppings. The "jumbo" sea scallops were very small, no sear or seasoning not even salt. My "sweet corn risotto" was just jasmine rice (not arborio) there was no corn, cream, or Parmesan in my risotto. Just white rice with red peppers. No seasoning. At this point I just wanted to leave. We asked to cancel the togo pizza because of how we didn't like it. Ally responded with "this time we will do it, but this isnt something we do, so next time you'll be charged". This server didn't care about making us happy at all. The restaurant overall is a fluke, when it has potential. Menu needs lots of work, and staff needs to be much more professional and helpful. To end the night, we still never got our water that we ordered first. The surprise cheesecake arrived for my fiance. This cheesecake was cracked and broke from the candle. It was very dense and basic. The plastic souffle cups of squeeze bottle caramel, melted chocolate, and the jelly/jam was very...
Read moreCute Atmosphere. It's about what you'd expect for a place that is kind of part of a strip. Nice lighting and wasn't too loud. The place seems to attract a bit of an older crowd. Aside from the employees, we were definitely the youngest folks there. Two customers even had oxygen tanks. Overall, it was pretty clean. There are a few spots that could use some touch-up paint.
The Service was a big plus here. The staff were all very kind and polite, even on the phone. Our server brought out our orders in slow waves which was kind of nice. We were able to enjoy our drinks, then the appetizer, then the soups, then the bread, then our meals. It was a lot of trips on their end, but everything came out nice and hot and it being brought out in waves is better than everything all at once. The hostess was very open about our reservation needing a bit more time when we arrived early. One of the bartenders even told us the food specials before we were even seated.
Some parts of the Food were probably the weak point of the visit. The Asiago Risotto Poppers come with a hot, dippable, probably homemade Marina sauce. Without it though, the Poppers themselves didn't really taste like anything. They could benefit from some seasoning. The Soups were a highlight. The Wedding Soup was tasty and the Mushroom Marsala was super creamy and full of sliced mushrooms. The bread was warm, soft, spongey, and had a nice crispy crust. The Chicken Barbarino was odd. It had super rich and creamy sauce, but there were whole uncut mushrooms in it. So biting into it, all you taste is water. These would have been way better if they had been sliced and then sauteed with some butter and garlic as opposed to what seemed like just boiled. The Pasta Beverly was also a little odd. The Menu lists a Pesto Sauce, but came out in a red sauce. We've never seen red pesto, only green. So maybe that's on us. It also listed White Wine Toasted Pine Nuts, but we didn't see a single one. Lastly, the shrimp came with the tails on. No one is eating that. They should be removed in prep, at the same time you peel and devein them. The Portions were pretty generous though. Next time, we will have to try the pizza or the...
Read moreI went there for my first time few months ago. My girlfriend and her parents. I thought everything was slightly expensive for The taste of everything. I got eight burger and it was a huge Burger but didn't taste that good and the fries seemed old or old oil. My girlfriend had some kind of pasta dish and she'd in it like it and I ate it at home and it was okay. Her mom had. I believe it was. It was sausage and red sauce spaghetti. She didn't like it. I thought it was probably better than the white sauce noodle dish that my girlfriend had. And my girlfriend seen somebody having a pizza. So just now a week ago about we decided to order pizza and she got a sub $15 sub that has four big meatballs. Like maybe three quarters of a foot for $15. And $20 something dollars. Just a pepperoni pizza that tasted like a day old. So yeah we were still way disappointed we will not be back and we're just literally half a mile away. We go past there almost everyday and so disappointed nobody could cook there. The food is bad. And the inside looked cheesy. Like it's so outdated. Had their food twice and we were disappointed twice. Need better chefs that can cook. I had a lot of pizza and I always tell people you can't really mess up pizza. This was pretty bad. Like just got it. It's hot like hot hot half a mile ride home and the cheese settled. It seemed like it was a day old. Like they cooked it yesterday and just threw it back in the oven. I don't know how they have a Business. So disappointed, we thought we might have a nice place to eat around the corner and they can't make food that tastes good. They charge a lot for bad food. They charge me $25 for a day-old pizza. At least that's what it. It seemed like. It wasn't cheesy, the cheese was like a day old like it was tough. $15 for not even a foot meatball sandwich. Granted it was pretty good but not $15 over price of food when the food is...
