I ordered a banh mi sandwich, no jalapenos, an order of egg rolls and ad order of shrimp (no crab) rangoon. The cashier was friendly and on point but seem to be covering the little dining room on her own. My egg rolls and shrimp rangoon were on point, A++. They're pricey for what you receive but if you can't make it yourselves, you pay for it, right?
Each rangoon had one, whole, fair sized shrimp mixed in with the cream cheese. The egg roll had a delicious sausage mixture, def a redo. I didn't have time to get a bowl of Pho so instead ordered a pork banh mi. It had all the traditional veggies that the banh mi sandwich has but the pork was another story. It wasn't the roasted or baked pork that you usually find in these sandwiches. The pork was the sliced, bbq pork you can order as an appetizer in a Chinese restaurant and was covered in a very spicy red sauce, most likely the Sriracha sauce you can add to your soup.
I don't do spicy and had ordered my sandwich without the requisite jalapenos, so I wish the girl had told me. I had to scrape all the sauce off the bread and meat, still too spicy. Sadly, it was a total waste. I'll def try again even if to just get a bowl of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTiny mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant on the north side of town. Don't let the location and size of the restaurant fool you, this place is FANTASTIC. They make the best Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) in town and the Pho is also terrific. Banh Mi is a famous vietnamese sandwich that is served on french bread with pickled carrots and diakons, cilatoro, pate, mayo, jalepenos, cucumber and a choice of meat (Beef Steak, Pork, BBQ Pork, Seafood Shrimp). It's a great alternative to a greasy lunch or dinner. If you're looking for soup, you can't go wrong with a huge bowl of vietnamese pho (rice noodles with beef broth and choice of meat). The owners are always very welcoming and love to come out and chat with customers. I believe they also deliver now! What are you waiting for?...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is one of my favorites in Columbia. Iāve lived down the street from Pho Quan for a year a half, and Iāve become a regular there. The owner is always so happy and kind to me and always remembers what I order. The dining room is small but the service and food are quick so tables free up quickly. The portions are large which is great. The BBQ pork bahn mi is one of the best sandwiches in town. The crab rangoons, general tsaos chicken and fried race are amazing as well. Unfortunately the pho isnāt as good as Iād hoped, but I still like it for the price. Highly recommend for a quick...
