Portions are big here that's the main quality this place has, that's about all that I got that was good out of the $60 order. I got chicken quesadillas I got a burrito Taco plate meal number 26 or 27 and the chimichanga add on desserts and extra sides and stuff I didn't ask for. Once that was resolved then there's the price$60 for one burrito one taco two quesadillas and one chimichanga that's kind of ridiculous. The food was hastily slopped together not that it was quick to get I sat there for a good 10 plus minutes of the window but nothing tastes good the rice and beans that were with the plate meal or dry and nothing to them chimichanga in quesadillas were good but the burrito and taco were just not good at all it was very upsetting considering this is my second time here the first time I ordered it through doordash and I ordered a meal for a few of us and the only thing that was incorrect was what I order for myself of course I had to argue with doordash just to get somewhat of a credit I called the restaurant they didn't answer and the next day it was told that there was nothing they could do about it like come on man if you want customers you got to have customer service and be willing to fix problems when they happen. So twice out of two times they left a Literal bad taste in my mouth! I guess if you're wasted and starving and have a lot of money on you then this is the...
Read moreI will never eat here again!! (Ive eaten here multiple times before) Me and my partner went around 10pm to grab 3 different meals to share. From the first interaction while ordering I could tell the person taking my order was in a rush. At the time I understood because the line wasn't the shortest. We were the 2nd car in line and ended up waiting almost 30 mins. When I went to grab our food I made sure to double check my order because I could already feel that there would be a problem with my food. The entire interaction at the window felt extremely rushed as well. After going home we checked our food only to find instead of a quesadilla I had an enchilada instead.
After the wait and customer service, I was pretty upset and had my partner call to see if someone could run it out since the line when we left was around the building. My partner speaks Spanish and did his best to resolve it, but she wasn't understanding and hung up. They went to grab it anyway, hoping it would be ready, but told me they had to park two different times to be noticed and put their flashers on, even after calling a second time! When they got home, this is what I was given. It's completely soggy in grease to the point that my hands were completely covered. You can see the bottom of the to go box is soaked in it. Horrible experience. Horrible...
Read moreWas craving some Mexican styled food and opted to try this place out. Placed my order on doordash and picked it up myself (it would be unfair to review their food after having an unpredictable delivery driver bring it, in my opinion).
I ordered an enchilada combo and a side of nachos and queso.
The chips were chips. The queso had a fantastic flavor but was very thin, almost watery, and I did not like that.
The rice and beans that came with the combo were fresh and flavorful, good sides. The enchiladas, one beef and one cheese, were swamped in too much sauce, which, like the queso, was very thin and free flowing- the sauce also washed out the flavor of the beef and made the cheese enchilada unpleasantly soggy.
I wouldn't mind the consistency of the sauce if it had been used more lightly and didn't taste like ketchup with extra salt.
This place makes a solid attempt, but I gotta say it's one of the weaker options for Mexican-styled food in Columbia. I don't think I will eat from Abelardo's again.
For the owners:
My only recommendations would be to thicken up your queso so it doesn't run off the chip like water from a sink and to reduce the enchilada sauce per entree by at least...
