VIGELEM VALLEY FARMS BAKERY — Restaurant in Columbia Township

Absolutely horrible bread. This company recently took up a retail location in Brooklyn MI, we bought 4 loaves of sourdough bread, and we threw out 4 loaves of sourdough bread.

The loaves and their crumb structure were confusingly dense, not sure if they were underproofed or underbaked, honestly it seemed like both as they tasted/felt raw/doughy. The sad part is I knew they were bad loaves when I picked them up, which begs the question "How did the person who baked them not realize they were bad loaves?"

I will not be going back, because if a product that terrible is allowed to be sold, you have no business being in business.

EDIT: In response to the owners reply, No, I have not spoken with you on the phone, I simply trashed the bread and called it a loss. As to your "week where bread didn't raise properly", it was easy to tell without cutting into the loaves, so either the baker is unable to determine good vs. bad product, or bad product is knowingly being sold.
