Stayed for 3 nights. When we got there, the room was mostly clean. Some stuff needed to be wiped down and the carpets looked liked they havent been professionally cleaned in 2-3 years but other than that it seemed clean.
The bed was firm which I liked but my girlfriend did not but she managed and the people we talked to at the front desk were nice and helpful when we asked questions about what there is to do in the area.
The breakfast wasnt all that great, you got frozen waffles, grapefruit that didnt look all that great, cereal, one flavor of yogurt, and some other blah stuff to choose from.
The next day after we got back, I noticed red bumps all over my feet, my girlfriend had the same problem. It was either bed bugs or flea bites, after some research online it was most likely flea bites. We both live in very clean homes and dont have problems with such things.
Called the hotel and politely said that we arent looking for a free room or money back or anything, just wanted to let you know about the room we stayed in and the flea situation. The person dismissed it as if we were just trying to start trouble or something. Said that there was someone else that stayed in the room after us and they havent complained (it has only been about 4 hours after check out time, if they did get bit, they might not have noticed yet).
So that was frustrating. Other than that, it was an...
Read moreThe good: Room was clean and nice. The Bad: Smoking area was by the front door so you had to breathe the stench on your way in and out. The laundry was steps from my room and something seemed to be failing in a washer and echoed down the hallway. Between the gabby smokers and the laundry I had to run the HVAC all night to drown out those other 2 sounds.||The worst: The desk clerk when I checked in was charming on the phone to someone with a lengthy issue about a reservation. After the clerk hung up she became a Jekyll and Hyde person and was less than cordial to me. After giving me a couple of magnetic keys for a first floor room near the office I asked if she had a 2nd floor room and she curtly said "no"! After getting my luggage I found neither key would work. Back to Princess Charmless. "Did you have them next to your cell Phone" No, they were in the same pocket as my wallet. "Well your charge card magnetic strips demagnetized them". Really? I'm a seasoned traveler and even keep the key cards IN my wallet without a problem. PC never bothered to explain the breakfast stuff nor said one word of welcoming. The morning clerk was no more congenial that PC. No "how was the room nor thank you or have a nice day". These people are the face of this motel and as such convinced me to...
Read moreWent up on a Friday night to do the Nascar Experience the next day. Got to our room and my wife noticed the one bed did not look like it was made up. Sure enough it wasn't based on the hairs that wear all over the pillow. The lady at the front desk was very kind and came up and made the bed for us. So far not to bad. The next day I did the Nascar Experience and we did some shopping before heading back to Ohio. My wife then noticed she had left her cell phone charger in the room. It was already to far away to turn around. So she called and they had the charger. We asked if they could ship it, the guy said sure, but it would be 35 dollars. 20 bucks for them to throw it in a box and 15 dollars to ship it. Are you kidding me!!!!!. For a person like me who has stayed over 150 nights in Wyndham properties for work and family travel, this was extremely disappointing. So we said no, as we knew we would be heading back that way in a few weeks. 35 dollars to stick a one ounce charger in a package is crazy. I know it was my wives fault for leaving it, but come on 35 bucks. Not sure I will stay at this...
