Personally, I like most Big Boy Restaurants, but our experience at the one in Brooklyn, Michigan was a disaster, to say the least! The place was full of Nasty House Fly's, which is BAD enough to have them around you at anytime, but way worse when trying to eat a meal. The booth across the aisle from us had already been wiped down from a previous customer, but done so sloppy that they left a piece of food in the middle of the table. And, on the floor under the table there were several more pieces of food, a straw, and a couple of napkins, all of which were very noticeable, so they clearly didn't care about cleaning any of it up, which doesn't give other customers, like us, a very good feeling about the cleanliness of the place. Plus, I ordered Biscuits & Gravy, and the gravy tasted good, but the biscuits were so hard on the bottom that I literally had to use a Knife to cut a biscuit, and only ate one biscuit because of that. The worst part about our visit, was that with all the Nasty Fly's in the place, we couldn't help but pounder just how many of the Fly's did a taste test on our plates of food BEFORE it reached our table (disgusting). The only good thing, was that the Bacon I had was very good tasting, and the Manager did take some money off our bill after I told him about the Fly's and the hard Biscuits! Needless to say, I very seriously doubt that I will ever return to that Big Boy, because I could live with getting hard biscuits, but the Fly's...

If I could write a more compelling review for people not waste their time in this restaurant... My wife and I went there on Saturday 2/22/24 @ 5pm approximately... We walked in a pleasant young lady seated us promptly... We got our menus My wife needed a couple extra minutes to decide what she wanted.. 20 minutes later nobody has shown back up to take our order.... WE WATCHED THE WAIT STAFF WALK AROUND LAUGHING HAVING A GOOD TIME, TALKING ABOUT CUSTOMERS NEGATIVELY!!! AN ELDERLY COUPLE AT THAT!!!!!!! So we got up and put our coats on and walked out, ON the way out my wife noticed the food pass warmer was full of food that had not been served!!! And all of the wait staff was congregated in their little area laughing and giggling and having a social hour!!!!!!!! NOW YOU WOULD THINK AS HARD AS THIS ECONOMY IS YOU WOULD ENSURE TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS PROPERLY SO THAT THEY WOULD RETURN!!!!!!! It's been at least 10 years since I had been in that Big Boy, I will never step foot in that place again.... I can only imagine that the food is as horrible as the service!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY AT THIS...

Worst restaurant experience of my life. We ordered food, got served tea and water, waited and waited.. after 40 minutes or so my wife asked the waitresses about our food. The waitresses said she'd check on it and bring us our salads. She came back near us to serve other's and did not give us any attention at all, no salad, no explanation or anything at all. I called after her and she turned to come and speak with us... I explained to her that she just served two customers who came into the restaurant after we did the same thing we had ordered. She said that she had forgotten to place our order. I'm thinking, why didn't you explain and apologize before serving others??? She gave no apology didn't seem even a little sympathetic to our situation.

I asked to see the manager and he came over. He offered no apology and didn't really seem sympathetic to the fact that we'd been sitting for 40 minutes and others were served ahead of us.

Literally the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in my 59 years of life. We left hungry and totally unsatisfied, we never even...

Big Boy is always my first choice for restaurants if I see one in the area. We came in shortly before closing and thought that the staff would be upset, but it was quite the opposite situation. Our server Randy was the friendliest waiter that we have ever had at a restaurant. He was really on the ball and treated us like we were his only customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the experience of eating at this particular Big Boy. I had to order my usual, a super Big Boy sandwhich with fries, made Ohio style, with their tater sauce instead of the orange Big Boy sauce that Michigan puts on their Big Boys. I even bought a bottle of tarter sauce to take home, but I could never replicate the real thing at home. Coming back to this establishment will be a must for us. Hopefully, Randy is working that day!

Way to go Brooklyn Big Boy. Ordered burgers and chicken strips for a quick bite before Halloween trick or treating with the kiddos and my husband paid 13.99 for these sad chicken strips and all our fries were soggy. The only thing not horrible was the burgers but even then, they weren't fantastic. I get with take out, fresh fries can get soggy quickly. That's why you shouldn't shut the container right away give them a second to a least cool down sightly. 👀 I've worked in food service myself...but it doesn't take a genius to know they didn't care much. This was just disappointing to spend our money on.

Before my visit here, I hadn't been to a Big Boy since the late '80's. This visit really took me back to when I went to Big Boy with my grandparents as a teenager. 😊 I came here this time with a dear friend of mine that I hadn't seen since 1987. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was nice and clean, and the food was amazing! I got the Mushroom Swiss Scrambler, and my friend got The Works. They didn't get her order totally right the first time, but we sent it back, and they fixed it! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I would gladly come back here! And I highly recommend it! 😊
