Barbeque Pit — Restaurant in Columbia

All of their menu prices are unbeatable for a bbq spot. Its great for lunch. Downside is they are only open 12-4. I went here today to see if they were open, and they were. You can smell the smoke when you get out your vehicle 🥰. I ordered the 1/2 pit special rib dinner. It comes with hash, rice, two sides, and a roll. I substituted the hash and rice for mac n cheese. Collards and potato salad for the sides. I didn't get a roll with my order, but I didn't remember it came with one until I made this post 🤦🏿‍♂️. I was disappointed with the size of the ribs 🤔. There was one st. Louis style rib and two rib tips. I would assume its this way because they seperated the tip from the meat. The rib tips were meaty 😋. The flavor was good. They were very tender. It came with homemade bbq sauce and it complimented the ribs well. The sides were good as well. The mac n cheese had the right amount of cheese (to me), the collards were a tad bit over seasoned but still good, and the potato salad was good and cold. The price was very good for what you get from a bbq spot. Total price was $10.75. I will definitely be back to try other items. My first time here, and after I ordered I was told my order would be ready in about 8 minutes, which turned into 30 minutes. I like BBQ but just couldn't find a place that can really cook it. The wait was well worth it. I had a side of hash and rice with a piece of rib. The rib was cooked to perfection!!! The best I ever had. Right temperature, texture, and taste! The hash was to die for, not that vinegar taste. This was my first visit so I have to go a few more times to make sure I just didn't catch them on a good day. I saw a few more of their dinners and menu items from other customers and it looked delicious down to the T. I would definitely recommend this place over any I have visited in the Columbia Area. The wings were ok but we also ordered 2 barbecue dinners, 1 rib dinner and 1 chopped barbecue dinner. We spent over $40.00. The hash had no flavor, the rice was boil in bag which is fine but it was watery. The chopped barbecue was tough, the yams had a million strings and just unedible. However, the potato salad was good. I was woken up out of my sleep around 2 am with the worst stomach ache ever. Something obviously was bad and had me in the restroom 3 times throughout the night. I will never visit this place...
