Greenes Bar-BQ — Restaurant in Columbia

First time going because I heard the place was nice and had an older crowd. I am female who is married to a woman. We were there with 13 other individuals (mix group). I walked away and was told the owner got on the mic; which later I heard for myself disrespecting same sex; homophobic as he would say and that we need to take that home because no one wants to see two woman dancing with each other. Then as we decide to leave the statement was made once again by the owner. If you don’t want us there don’t take our money or let us in. OUR MONEY SHOULDN’T be good if we aren’t good enough to come in, mind our business and have a good time. But to hear the owner of an establishment be that rude and disrespectful is a shame. I go every blue moon. I have a good time because of the older crowd. The DJ is a hit or miss, depending on which night you go. I normally go downstairs to the other bar where there are fewer people.

Concerning the food, I've only had chicken wings and fries. They are so good.

Here is why I'm giving it a three. I wish they'd invest in keeping the place up. There are holes in the ceilings and the bathrooms are atrocious. There was no hand sanitizer, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, and the floors were wet. The area where the dance floor is located has no AC. When you walk into that room, you instantly feel the heat and smell the funk.

Classy neighborhood spot. I couldn't get in due to the diligently observed dress code, but no hard feelings. There were ample (polite and respectful) security and parking lot attendants; the interior was very clean and comfortably laid back, accompanied by a bevy of very well dressed and gorgeous "cougarish" female clientele.
