Denny's — Restaurant in Columbia

My very first time at this location (& my last) about 11pm cause my go to after work closed earlier than normal. My eggs weren't cooked how I asked (over medium) pancakes were meh, the sausage was a cheap type, so after a bite or two and feeling a gritty part I just cast it aside. I asked for coffee and got a cup that was chipped in the mouth piece, (I drank from the opposite side and prayed) I asked for the French vanilla creamer (they offer French vanilla and hazelnut) she comes back with half/half amd hazelnut creamers saying that's all they had. OK. Can I have some sugar please. She comes back with 2 packets of sugars and other sugar alternatives. Sigh. So we start to eat and she brings the check , no salt, pepper or napkins at the table. My friend just walked to another table amd grab them just so we didnt have to ask her for anything else. Sigh. Then I guess a friend came in and well, there goes my waiter, entertaining her guest instead of the customer.

We finished what we could, but I still had these 2 pancakes that I was gonna doggy bag. I walk to the counter, a patron was waiting for her order and the guy server just started chatting her up about nothing so I cleared my throat and asked for a container for the pancakes. Please. He walked away. I assumed he was going to get it but no, came back to the front with the other customers food and faded away. I walk to the payment counter, ask my waitress for a container for the pancakes,she walks off as if them proceeds to hand me a 5” inch tin for 2-8” inch pancakes so I just stuffed it in there. Paid $40. I don't rember if I tipped or didn't.(.I just wanted to get the hell outta dodge) I'd have to check my bank statement. I left there vowimg to never return to that location and im still contemplating whether or not I'll still need a future Dennys customer at any other location.

I work a 12hour graveyard shift and that day I was just tired and hungered for a "home style" breakfast not McDonald's. Etc My friend suggested Dennys given the time it was. Had I known the service would be so "stellar" I wouldve just stopped at McDonald's. At least there. They're happy...

You know this Denny's used to be my favorite location for many years. But now everytime I come to this restaurant it's something. They can't keep employees, and the service has gone down dramatically. Today, I ordered through the automated system and told order would be ready at 3:20 pm. Get to the restaurant at 3:23 and they couldn't locate my ticket. After sitting for almost 10 mins the manager on duty finally comes and says the cook is fixing it now. My food was not done. Another 20 min wait, after already waiting for 20 mins after placing order. The manager then says they don't cook the food until it's paid for. Mind you I've called in my order at minimum 10xs before this and food be ready when I get there BEFORE paying!! Who calls and order food and wait for it to be cooked upon arrival?? No one right?? But this manager claims that's how its always been. But then says 3 ppl didnt come get their food today. Lmao so ridiculous. Ma'am that has nothing to do with me. If you check my phone number i ALWAYS pick my food up. What someone else does should have no effect on me. Ma'am I would have respected you more if you just said yall didn't fix my food because yall didn't see the ticket or something like that. Hell my number on the ticket, you could've called and verified it if alot of ppl didn't show up. So many different ways its could've been handled versus how she handled it. No wonder yall struggling for business now. This was the last straw for me today. Lost another patron. And the sad part I stopped coming several times but keep giving another chance, mainly because its right down the street from my house. Zero stars. Save your time and money and...

YUCK!! Went to Denny;s at 11 at night on Thanksgiving to get my favorite -Superbird with season fries with cheese and a side of ranch for dipping. Big mistake- THIS was the GROSSEST food I have EVER had at Denny's. I have been to Dennys in 5 states from Alaska to SC and the food always taste the same. When I ordered I heard the waiter tell the cook "she wants shredded cheese on fries" and he seemed surprise as if Dennys has never had season cheese fries. They literally gave me fries with shredded cheese but not melted, it looked and tasted like they had been sitting for hours, My sandwich was worse. A sandwich with soggy bread on the outside SUPER dry and bare on the inside, only one tomato on one side of the sandwich, and well you can see how great that looks, no cheese on the superbird so just dry bread, turkey and a piece of bacon with a nasty tomato.....OH and the ranch was SUPER SOUR - Denny's is known for their ranch and this was GROSS. I should have known when I walked in :( - To make it even worse I gave dude a $5 tip for punching in my order and handing it to me just because it was Thanksgiving. So $20 bucks for this meal here. That will be the last time we go there. Next time I need to get food in the middle of the night I guess its...
