Hello, So I actually loved this place, but a recent horrible experience from one of the staff members regarding me not liking the microwaved Quiche, and wanting to trade it for a sandwich, has sadly turned my happiness with this place to utter disappointment. Really nothing happened. My 9 year old daughter had a rough day at school, so the next day I kept her home and took her to her favorite place to get boaboa tea. Nashville Tea Company. We loved coming here and have came anytime we had free time. Since we were there, I decided to try the ham and cheese Quiche. I never had it before, but it looked nice, so I wanted to give it a try. We ordered, got our food and my daughters drink, but once I got my Quiche, I noticed it wasnt truly cooked, but warmed up in some sort of oven, so the consistency of the Quiche was waterlike. I took one bite, could tell it wasnt done or was too watery, politely advised the lady it wasnt likeable to me and asked, could I trade it out for a sandwich? When I asked the young lady, she said, "well... u should be able to, should..." (that was my warning right there.) Well, then she timidly approached an older heavier set lady and that woman was rude from the moment she opened her mouth. I was standing right there and she said, "She wants me to give it to her FOR FREE?" & the younger lady was like, "well she ordered the Quiche, but didnt like the consistency, so she wants to trade it." The older woman's face turned red, and she looked at me, and said, "U want it for free? Thats a $10 Quiche, that I cant do anything with?!" I was shocked and went to further explain that "yes, I would like to trade it bc I only took one bite, and normally u can do that at restaurants." Then she was like but its $10! & I said yes, I know, which is why I would like to trade it for a lesser priced item vs more expensive. She gave me so much attitude, I started to feel like a burden, and said, you know what, baby grab your things, the lady is upset with me, and we'll just leave, dont mind the sandwich, we'll just go. Then, her attitude changed and she said sorry, and "please, let me just make the sandwich, im sorry." I appreciated her collecting herself, especially in front of my daughter, but at that point I couldnt trust her not to alter the sandwich bc she was upset. Did I like & respect this place? Yes, 100/100, thats why I would spend hard earned money there. But did they like/ respect me? No. 0/100 So I wont be going back, and unless u know what youre ordering, or youre friends with them, dont go. The atmosphere is wonderful, but that womans energy needs to...
Read moreI very extremely disappointed today in the OWNER of the store’s customer service….She was extremely unprofessional. My grandmother had ordered two 12oz Cup of Cumberland teas. Only one cup came out. So after a few minutes she brought it to the attention of one of the young ladies making the teas. The young lady said that someone else must have walked off with it. My grandmother was very polite the first time she asked for the drink to please be made. It’s not her fault that they do not label any of the drinks which makes it incredibly difficult to know which is yours. What if someone else ordered the same exact same thing as you?? They NEED to put names or order numbers on the drinks!!! The girl then apologized and said she would get right on it! Another 20 minutes goes by and we still hadn’t received the drink, yet others were getting their orders who came after ours. When my grandmother complained a second time and explained that she needed to get going at this point, the owner of the establishment, working the register, accused my grandmother of being rude and telling customers to leave. Which she did not say. The owner then proceeded to try to give her a gift card, however she was just visiting us from out of state, so my grandma requested cash instead. The owner angrily reached into the drawer and shoved some cash at my grandma. Within the hour we were there today there were at least 3 other customers who had similar issues and complained. The staff basically blamed my grandmother for their own DYSFUNCTIONAL work flow. This is first time I’ve ever had a issue here and holy moly I could not believe the horrendous customer service provided by the...
Read moreWow, what a cool shop. I've been sipping some Nashville Tea Company tea for quite some time that was gifted to me and I love it. Even though I go almost directly past here every week,, this was my first time in the store and I was quite surprised. Located behind an unassuming door attached to north end of the Factory at Columbia (at the corner of N James Campbell Blvd and..... N James Campbell Blvd. Way to go!) I was delighted by the relaxing atmosphere inside. I spent some time perusing the whimsical small batch loose blends, many inspired and named after our local geography, while discussing their individual virtues the Diane. I selected a unique blend for home brewing (which has been deliscious) and an iced matcha late made Diane's way. I have collected tea while traveling all over the world and this gem right here in Middle tennessee is just one more reason I love living where I do. I look forward to coming back... and...
