Grazie Italian Eatery — Restaurant in Columbia

Saw this place was finally open a couple of weeks ago and we had to rush over to try it. It did not disappoint! Every item we ordered was amazing. My favorite had to be the gnocchi, though I may be biased because I am a gnocchi fanatic. Even better than the food was the staff, they checked regularly and went above and beyond to take care of us and everyone in the restaurant. It was packed to the max when we were there and not a person there missed a beat taking care of everyone, and there were multiple large parties. One of the staff went around asking people’s preferences on wine, drinks, and food, and brought out samples based on your answer to try. The dessert was out of this world and a unique dish I have never had before, but the flavors were perfect. The food was nothing short of exceptional—each dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcased the heart of Italian cooking. From the tasty antipasti dishes (we had the burrata caprese and stuffed meatball) perfectly cooked mains (there were 4 of us and we had the Chicken Parm, Shrimp and Artichoke Mascarpone, Cacio E Pepe Gnocci and the Grilled Salmon), every bite was a reminder of why Italian cuisine is so beloved. A special shoutout goes to the sommelier, whose expertise and genuine passion elevated our meal even further. His wine pairing recommendations were spot on, enhancing the flavors of our dishes beautifully. It’s rare to encounter someone who so clearly understands and enjoys their craft.

An absolutely delightful dining experience. This eatery nails it in every way, starting with the fresh, delicious food. I'm of Italian descent, so I can be a bit of an Italian restaurant snob; I've dined all over Italy, and my standards are high; I was not disappointed. We will return, and often. Our server could not have been nicer or more engaging, she was the very picture of professionalism.

By the way, my wife and I dined at the other Italian restaurant in town, and the only words I can use to describe that experience are deeply disappointing. Go to Grazie for an unforgettable, welcoming, and true Italian...
