New exit off of Rt. 29 ramp to Merriweather District where this restaurant is located is now opened! Happy to find a nice clean, comfortable and relaxing place to gather and catch up with some friends. We arrived around 9:30 and it was nicely quiet with available tables to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful. You place your order at the main counter then your freshly prepared choices are brought to your table. They have a large refrigerated case with grab n go sandwiches, salads and other healthy snacks to choose from. There are cold pressed juices that were delicious and nice to know that no added sugar is used. We had a couple of their gourmet toasts which used fresh ingredients and were quite filling. Another friend had a breakfast bowl which looked very fresh and filled to the brim. I had their cold pressed juice called Recharge, with Beet / Carrot / Apple / Orange / Ginger, which was not over powering and refreshing to taste. Our meals were tasty and enjoyed by all. The area is brightly lit with a large viewing area on one side where you can watch the outdoor courtyard area. On warmer days, they have seating outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and activities of a growing neighborhood of apartments and new businesses of restaurants and stores.

So, if you are in Columbia and you want a delicious, hearty and healthy breakfast alternative, then Toastique is the place to experience. It’s close to everything in Columbia, with a great view of Color Burst Park. I opened with the Overnight Oats, specifically Berry Oats. You can explore all types of drizzles like Honey, Maple Syrup, Almond Butter and of course Peanut Butter. This was priced just right at six and half dollars. My wife enjoyed a yogurt parfait. Perfect for the grab and go crew. Deliciousness all in a nice package. Taste and price were just right. My son enjoyed the Smoked Pastrami Salmon with Herb Cream Cheese Spread, Thinly Sliced Cucumbers, Toast Seasoning - Put together on a Sourdough Toast! He loved it! For salmon lovers, this is a no brainer! I finished with the Avocado Smash! Can you say delicious! The marinated tomatoes and chili oil sealed the deal of flavor surprise. The portion and price was perfect for the setting and experience. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. The perfect breakfast or late morning delight. If you are visiting Columbia and you are near The Merriweather District, don’t miss going to Toastique!

If the prices were about half what they are, and the coffee about twice the volume they give, this would be a really nice place. The inside of the place is simple, with some high and low tables and chairs. I got the dragonberry bowl and while it was very tasty, it was basically a slushie in a bowl , with some coconut, a bit of fruit, and granola on top for $16, my friend got the avocado toast which she said was really delicious, but it was a piece of toast with some avocado spread, nicely decorated with a couple tomato slices , a fruit slices , and micro greens sprinkled on top, for $17. I got a cappuccino for $4 which did not have heavy foam and was more like a latte, and was maybe 8 oz at best, though it was good coffee. Even though there was only one other person waiting for their food, it took 15 minutes for us to get our order. There is potential here because their ingredients are fresh and of good quality, but it's way too expensive for what you get, and the service is very slow. It was a lovely day and we ate outside, which is much nicer than listening to the music echo inside, and there's a fountain to view and that part was really nice.

My recent visit to Toastique was nothing short of extraordinary, and I'm excited to share the highlights of my delightful experience at this charming establishment. If you're looking for a place that elevates the art of toasting, Toastique is the place to be.

I was immediately struck by the modern and inviting atmosphere. The combination of rustic wooden accents and contemporary design elements created a cozy yet trendy ambiance that made me feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the toasts themselves. The menu at Toastique is an absolute masterpiece, offering a wide array of creative and mouthwatering options. From savory to sweet, there's a toast to satisfy every craving. The standout for me was the Avocado Smash toast.

What truly sets Toastique apart is their unwavering commitment to using top-notch, locally sourced ingredients. Each bite of my toast was a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor. It's clear that the team behind Toastique takes pride in offering nutritious options without compromising on taste.

To complement the toasts, Toastique offers a refreshing selection of beverages. I couldn't resist trying one of their signature smoothies, and it was a perfect accompaniment to my meal. Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor, it was the ideal way to wash down the delectable toasts.

Before I knew it, my visit to Toastique had become a delightful journey of culinary discovery. Whether you're a toast aficionado or just looking for a memorable dining experience, Toastique is a must-visit destination. The fusion of creativity, quality, and warm hospitality makes it a standout in the dining scene. I'll definitely be returning to Toastique, and I encourage everyone to toast to this...

The reason I am giving this a 2 star rating has nothing to do with the food. I find everything I’ve had to be absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, the service is not. There has not been one time I’ve gone and things have gone smoothly. It should be a quick in and out process and there’s always something wrong- whether it be my order all together or rudeness from the staff when I disclose the problem. For instance, I ordered a smoothie in advance for the pick up time of 1130 assuming it would be made around that time, I could avoid waiting forever for a smoothie that should take no time at all, be in and out. When I arrived to pick up at 1130 the smoothie was frozen. I mean rock hard. The woman behind the counter was angry with me that I asked for a new one. Needless to say they made a new one but she was shaking her head the whole time. Very disappointing. Another time a little boy of one of the employees was at a countertop watching a show. I understand babysitting issues and her needing to bring him. No problem at all. But he then began to scream bloody murder for his mother. She did not address it until many minutes later. I had to go make sure he was ok along with other patrons. It only made it worse. She acknowledged nothing anyone did to try and help and continued on. Not sure I can continue to support...

I’ve been here three times and feel like I can now give this place an honest review.

First, the food is too expensive. Close to twenty dollars for a piece of toast with a ton of tomatoes on it, or $11 for a smoothie they have gotten wrong 2/3 times. The toast price wouldn’t be so bad if the portion sizes were decent, but they’re also very small!

Second, food service is terribly slow. If you’re lucky there’s two people working there. One running the register and one making food. So be prepared to wait 20 minutes for your piece of toast.

Third, customer service is poor. Two times in a row I ordered a smoothie and paid extra for some peanut butter. After fifteen plus minutes they got around to making it but not only was there no peanut butter, but all of the ingredients weren’t blended. They were just a big ball at the bottom of the smoothie. The first time I was in the restaurant so I complained and they made a new one, but the second time I had taken it home already. I reached out to them several times through email but never got a response.

It’s an interesting idea and I’d like to enjoy the place, but for what you get it needs to be 50% cheaper. They’re marketing toast and juice as something worth spending $60+ for a two person breakfast and it’s just...
