Dulce Vida Ice Cream Factory — Restaurant in Columbus

First off, I have only been here a handful of times past couple years as each visit provides reminder reason I don't frequent this establishment. If you visit, pay close attention to what you ask for and how it is prepared, especially anything that has toppings or add-ons. The music is sometimes loud and not family-friendly as other reviewers mentioned. It is also not for children unless you want them exposed to some of the words / language. One instance the music was talking about "putting it in the rear" and I'm not talking about groceries in a car trunk. Last few visits I just went alone and took home the items for the family. It's an Ice Cream and snacks place, one would think it should have a more family friendly atmosphere.

Some of the Ice Cream items are overloaded on the sugar which essentially ruins the "natural" flavors (unless you like sugar flavor only). We tried some of the popsicle items and Ice Cream, it was a 3 out of 10 on flavor (too much sugar and not enough natural flavor). I tried a loaded Chip and Beef item, the item was mainly cabbage (some stale) - wish it had less cabbage and more of the other toppings (next time I'll ask if I can skip the cabbage and just pay extra for more of the other toppings). The pinwheel chips with add-on chili, this gets drowned in the sauce and you end up with soggy wheat/flour pinwheels (too much liquid ruins the crisp and flavor). It does get pricey fast, so get your wallet - for the price it's tough especially walking away wishing it had more natural flavors.

A couple weeks ago I went and they got my order wrong on the corn toppings (I said twice "no Mayonnaise" and they put two layers of it), but like I previously said the music was loud and the clerks were distracted with their sidebar conversations. Not many options locally for the type of items they serve, so I will go on a rare occasion (without kids) until another place opens up with similar items (but with more...

I absolutely love this place and I try to make it here at least once a year. I wish I could come here more often. It's a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE WITH 🍨🍦 ICE CREAM 😊👌. DON'T PANIC, the old building now has a check cashing company or something In it but they haven't closed. They actually moved a building over going north. It is much bigger now, staff speaks SPANISH and ENGLISH, as always they're very polite. They have 30 unique FLAVORS of ice cream and a good selection of HOT FOOD ENTREES. You can get your treats TO GO OR DINE IN inside a CLEAN colorful 🎨 environment. If you have free time, waiting on your meal, have kids with you or just like to play, there are also fun arcade games inside. If you prefer to dine in , they also have a large flat screen tv. The is definitely an Awesome place for treating yourself, dates, outing with the kids or friends, after a sports game, or family time. This place has it all with great energy vibes, great food and great customer service 😁 I mean who could ask for more!!...

I ordered a small and it was pretty generous. I absolutely loved the flavor and the color! The ice cream tastes fresh and it was good. You can tell they put time into developing the flavors and texture. The ice cream is thick and creamy, it coats your mouth. The ice cream is also very affordable, not too expensive!

I recommend this place for families, casual dates, a group outing, or a sweet treat! It's a really unique store, with unique ice creams. I like the different types of ice cream they have and flavors.

They have their own private parking lot, so you don't have to worry about parking space. There's plenty of tables inside and out for you to sit and enjoy. I like getting ice cream and eating it outside...
