When we first started looking for a caterer for our wedding, we had the absolute worst luck. Many local companies argued with us for not wanting a sit-down dinner. Several added hidden fees and up-charges. More than a few never even returned our initial calls. But we got lucky- a friend of one of my bridesmaids works at Milo’s, and she reached out to him for us. Cue smooth sailing. Mitch- the friend-of-friend- got all our information started himself before getting us set up with the coordinator, Stacy. Not only were they more than happy to do the cocktail style hors d’oeuvres we wanted instead of a plated meal, they were also surprisingly affordable! They were totally accommodating of some of our guests’ dietary restrictions, worked with us to find the perfect menu (including some last-minute quantity adjustments), and stayed well within our budget with no sneaky fees or up-charges. All communication was prompt and clear, and everyone we interacted with- Stacy, Mitch, our bartender and serving staff- were all wonderful. And of course the food. Even with dietary restrictions and some picky eaters, every single guest was thrilled with the food. Everything was fresh and tasted fantastic, nothing went cold or empty all evening, and we even had some leftovers (which guests enthusiastically took home). Overall, our experience with Milo’s was exceptional, and I’m so glad they were a part of our...
Read moreIf you are looking for a top quality catering company that is a cut above the rest, well look no further. We contracted with Milo's for our wedding and could not be happier. The food was amazing but what really stood out with their salmon and risotto. These are two dishes that are hard to get right but I must say that they nailed them perfectly and that was the determining factor in choosing them. Not to detract from their other dishes but to give so much attention to items that are typically not chosen because they are hard to make correctly shows how much they care about everything else.
Now for the service we were also extremely pleased. Lynn was a please to work with and we did throw her a few curve balls day of and during planning and she was very accommodating to work with. We had a specific idea we wanted to do both with food and presentation that we most certainly not the normal for them with a steakhouse style family share dinner and using personal ingredients that we grew on our farm in the dishes. And Lynn and the team was able to accomplish both while working with their culinary team lead by chef Alex.
Again we are extremely happy with the service that we got and we found it to be a great value too for the cost of everything as well. Milo's and the team are going to be my top choice if I'm in need of a catering company for a large event...
Read moreI just ordered a Red Velvet cake and asked that it be made the same way as my last one. I've been training for my first fitness competition for 16 weeks, turned 30 a month ago and put off my celebration til this weekend because all that I wanted for my 30th was the Red Velvet cake I had last year from them. I picked up the cake and they put the wrong frosting on it which was cream cheese and last year they'd put butter cream. Cream cheese makes me SICK so of course I call back to get the right one made and they not only tried to charge me the same price to have it remade the correct way but the lady I spoke with named Casey acted like she didn't care at all that this literally is going to ruin my competition celebration after not having any sweets for 16weeks but ALSO my 30 th birthday present to myself. She was rude and did not care about her customer at all. The best part is i am going to be planning a wedding starting January and was going to have them cater my entire event but definitely not now! I have never wrote a review before but that's also because no one has ever made me this upset. Absolutely will never use them again and if you have an event that you want things to go right I'm not sure they care enough to see to it that it does. My 30th birthday/competition weekend is officially a...
