Parker’s Pantry — Restaurant in Columbus

Too many amazing things to say about this local breakfast and lunch gem located on the rim of Lakebottom Park in Midtown. First, the place is clean (scored a 100 on their most recent health inspection report). Second, the menu consists of ingredients that are top notch, fresh and freshly-made, not to mention the flavor profiles-YUM! The menu changes to keep you coming back for more, but there are items that stay on the menu all the time. I love the creative and funny sandwich names. Ever heard of the Southern Cross? It is my favorite sandwich and this version is named after the famous constellation. At Parker’s Pantry it is where chicken salad and pimento cheese come together between sourdough bread. It is definitely out of this world! Third, the service is top-notch with some of the friendliest people in Columbus. Oh, and you can get the homemade soups and quiches from their pre-prepared section to take home. All freeze beautifully! Live in Florida now, but I stop by once or twice during my visits to Columbus when visiting my family. Oh my goodness, EVERYTHING is wonderful here! I always order a quiche to take home (fave is sausage, caramelized onion, smoked Gouda). If the sausage/cheese breakfast biscuits are still available, I pick up a couple of those also (similar to the Red Lobster biscuits except with the yummy sausage baked into it also). Pimento cheese is a great take-home item as well as the baked goods (muffins, mini cupcakes, cookies, etc). My daughter tried the Southern Cross sandwich which she really enjoyed. Out of all the places we have been to, Parker's Pantry is by far our favorite. We like to get a variety of their items, from their muffins, bagels, soups, and sandwiches and everything is top tier. It's fresh and the flavor is unique. What really makes us come back every time is the staff. Every single member is friendly and happy to be there, and they always remember us when we come in. The seating is awesome, we try to sit in the corner window seat as much as possible, but there is also outside seating and other indoor seating.
