The park is great. I run at the park almost everyday. However, lately, I keep seeing this gold car parked incorrectly at the park but that’s not the suspicious part. The suspicious part is that every time I saw this car I would walk the opposite direction and by the time I made it to the other side of the park there he was parked incorrectly. So I would walk back the opposite way and by the time I made it back to where I originally saw him, he would be there parked incorrectly. He just keeps doing this over and over. So I took a picture of his car and took another route. Once he saw me snap a pic of his car he left the park. So far this incident has happened twice over the past week or so. I uploaded the picture I took of his car so if anyone sees this car and it’s parked wrong please avoid this car as I get the feeling he is scoping out the park. I had to call my step dad who then showed up to the park but by the time my step dad arrived the car had already left. I listen to a lot of True Crime Podcasts so I could just be over reacting and I really hope that is the case but this incident has happened too many times for it to be a coincidence. Keep your heads on a swivel...
Read moreThis park boasts fun for the entire family. There are tennis courts, a football field, basketball courts, softball/baseball fields, volleyball nets, running track, playground, crushed gravel running trail and so much more! There is a nice creek that runs through the center of most of the park with plenty of shade, benches, and open grassy areas. There are two open bathrooms that are typically well maintained. The grounds are well cared for and manicured. The running track is a quarter of a mile. The outside trail in a figure 8 is 1.88 miles, around the outer larger loop is 1.56 miles. If you were to run around the block at the volleyball nets, you will run 1.02 miles and a run around the block on the playground/track side is 0.84 miles. (Give or take 0.02 miles.) Elevation difference is a little over 100 feet. There are times were the area can be busy, especially with Columbus High School across the street; however, the patrons are always friendly and courteous. Definitely a gem...
