Taqueria Morelia — Restaurant in Columbus

Visited Taqueria Gonzalez today. Taqueria Gonzalez located at 755 Stelzer Road sits on the edge of a predominately Hispanic neighborhood. In the past I used to eat here often and stopped by today to visit and make sure the food was still good.

The Food

Today I ordered a quesadilla al pastor. This dish has long been a favorite of mine and a dish that I often use to compare taco trucks. The pastor (marinaded pork) was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The tortilla was also cooked just right, crisp on the edges, firm but not dry in the center. The meat and cheese to tortilla ratio was well balanced. Overall a really good quesadilla.

The Service

The young lady working the window was very pleasant and welcomed me upon my arrival. Since I did not recognize her I decided to play dumb (not hard for me) and asked her to explain some of the menu options. She took the time to explain many of the menu options and complimented on my final choice. When my order was ready she bid me fair well with a smile and asked that I come again soon.

Both the food and service were outstanding at Taqueria Gonzalez and I would have no reservations in recommending them...

I just went there today for lunch and order a burrito and three chorizo tacos

I felt like my food was sabotaged when I walked up everybody was all smiles and happy and being very polite and nice 15 minutes later a call from the guy at the window with my food ready I get back home with my food start eating to notice I have 3 to 4 hairs in my food curled up and I am mediately threw up this is the worst experience I had in Columbus Ohio by four and I feel like it was racially motivated because I am African-American This is the worst service ever had I’m sick to my stomach and when I called back to tell him they telling me I can’t get refund

I wish I had took the pictures I was just so disgusted and threw it away !!!!!!!!

One of the best little taco trucks in Columbus, they all have rotating menu items like torta jamon and elotes that are well worth it. The burritos are amazing and the tacos are on special for taco Tuesdays (highly recommend at least 4).

It's a great place on the go, doesn't take long to get your food and it's exactly what you want from a taco truck.

Update 10/8/24: I have been coming here for a few years now and I will continue to come back again and again. I feel like most restaurants have dropped in quality over the last few years but Taqueria Morelia is consistent, fast,...
