This morning, at 7:37 AM, I attempted to place an order for a mocha caramel coffee at Tim Hortons, selecting the hot beverage option. Despite repeatedly articulating my order to the associate, it seemed she had difficulty comprehending my request, and her tone became somewhat impolite.
I proceeded to the drive-through window and expressed my willingness to place the order there, to which she insisted that I must enter the establishment. I informed her that I preferred the drive-through service, primarily due to time constraints arising from my work commitments. Additionally, I made it known that I have a hearing impairment and was struggling to hear her clearly. However, she disregarded my concerns and insisted on my entry.
I reiterated my preference for the drive-through, but she abruptly closed the window and instructed me to leave. I chose to remain, at which point she reopened the window and threatened to involve law enforcement if I did not depart. I calmly encouraged her to contact the authorities, as her actions seemed to reflect bias and discrimination, both related to my disability and my racial background. To my dismay, she raised her voice and suggested that I "go back to my country," despite the fact that I am a teacher who serves this country diligently and proudly.
This unfortunate incident occurred at the Tim Hortons located at 4969 Roberts Rd, Hilliard, Ohio 43026 While I understand that this behavior may be an individual's action, I want to emphasize that I will continue to share this experience on public platforms such as Google until I see proactive steps taken by the company to address this issue. It is crucial that Tim Hortons management takes immediate and decisive action against hate and racism. This should include comprehensive training and education for associates on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the implementation of measures to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or abilities. Only through such actions can we hope to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for...
Read moreWent through drive thru to pick up an online order. Ordered online and waited a little bit before leaving the house to make sure they had plenty of time to make the order and do it correctly. Still ended up with two incorrect items.
The omelette bites come in* spinach or bacon and they come in pairs. The website lets you choose if you want your omelette bites to be one or the other, or one of each in your pair. I selected one of each flavor for my pair because I hadn't had them before. Only received spinach. Did not bring this up when I went back to fix my order because it wasn't a big deal. The spinach ones were good and I can try the bacon ones next time.
I did go back to correct the mistake with my sandwiches. Ordered one double stacked bacon egg and cheese English muffin sandwich, and one regular sausage egg and cheese English muffin sandwich. Only received two sausage sandwiches. No bacon. Went back and asked for just the bacon to put on the sandwich myself because I have worked in food service before and knew if I gave them back the sandwich that was wrong for a new one that that would cause unnecessary food waste. They are required to throw these things away for safety reasons because when a customer has touched something it's considered contaminated and no long food safe. Perfectly understandable, I don't want a strangers probably dirty fingers to have been in a second hand sandwich unless I was literally starving. So, I didn't want them to have to pitch it. Less waste, better for the environment and all. I am also extra polite because I have been in their shoes before and I know how chaotic food service can be. Not some Karen being a b*tch for no reason. Mistakes happen. No big deal, as long as you fix it and aren't rude.
WELL, my one of my two simple caveats (just fix it, don't be rude and it's not a big deal) were not met. I will not be going to this particular location again...

On Saturday 06/17/17, strapped for time, I went through the drive thru on my way to a day at the baseball fields. I know the date due to the specifics of that day's activities on my calendar. This was before I started doing reviews here or I would have done one that day!
I ordered a toasted multi-grain bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a large cafe mocha. This is what I almost always order. Tim Horton's Cafe Mocha was my favorite go to coffee drink for years!
I did not carefully check my order before leaving and did not drink any of the cafe mocha until I got to the baseball fields (wanted it to cool down first). The bagel was "OK" - not sure if it was toasted and very little cream cheese (I don't like a lot like many do, but this was even too little for me). The big problem - the cafe mocha - it tasted like unsweetened weak black coffee. It was so weak you could see through it to the bottom of the cup.
Through the time of this visit, I'd go through the drive thru at this location 3 - 4 times a year, usually on the way to get on the freeway. Each time, my order winds up being 2 - 3 stars. This time, I'd give it 1 star and only because the bagel was "OK." In fact, I think over the years each visit has been worse than the one before it. Service has been decent, but the product...
