I rarely leave a bad review, but I went last night to see Perodoni. The band was awesome, the door guy was cool. But the three women bartenders were terrible!!! There was hardly anyone at the bar trying to get a drink except for me...they seemed to make a conscious effort to not look in my direction and serve me...until a young man walked up beside me then the girl immediately acknowledged him and came and took his drink order even after I tried to intervene. She then tried to ignore me again until I had to raise my voice and proclaim I’d also like a drink!! At this point It was very obvious that they were purposely trying to ignore me and when she finally acknowledged me she was rude and sharp w me. As if I was putting her out. The young man patron at least apologized. Another gentleman patron that observed all this commented on the rudeness. My friends and I ended up leaving early before the second set because we knew this would be the service we’d continue to receive. It was the short brunette w long wavy hair and a girl w a bob that provided the terrible service. The wavy brunette wouldn’t even acknowledge my presence and the girl with the bob was RAF. When we went to leave I had to send over a male friend to retrieve my card. Because I stood ignored again!!! For more then 5 minutes while watching the same two girls talking to each another never looking up or around to see if some at the bar might need some service???!!! The third bartender a taller brunette w a flower in her hair finally tabbed is out. Wow, this is Saturday night service at a bar w low attendance???? My advice to the owner would be to hire bartenders that aren’t insecure and will serve woman just a readily as they serve men. I promise they are costing the bar $$$$. Or maybe some undercover women in every so often to keep these to on their...
Read moreI visited the Woodlands Tavern to see a couple of bands that came in from Pennsylvania to play Columbus for the first time. This was my first time at this venue, and I am reviewing only the live music aspect of the venue. They have two distinct areas for performance, one in the bar and one set up to be a ticketed area. They also have a really great patio that loads of folks seemed to be congregating in. They have a kitchen that you can order food, I did not try this though. In the larger performance area, it is set up with a large stage and a small bar in the back. It was a great venue, a nice lighting setup and a robust sound system. The bands I went to see, sounded great! It had a very cozy feel to it. The bartender in the back was great, and if he didn't have what you needed, you had a wristband that you could go to the main bar and get whatever.
there is very little parking, but you can park on the street in the surrounding area. Its a nice venue, you would not expect it, by looking at it from the street. I definitely am wishing I had tried the food...
Read moreWent here for the first time yesterday, and really liked the environment. The only thing I would recommend improvement on is for the food ordering/delivery system. I ordered a burger and potato wedges at the bar and the bartender said, "We'll call you when it's ready;" at least that's what I heard over the loud live music. I see food getting delivered to different tables, and as minutes go by, I still had yet to receive my food; no communication about my order was made. I go to the bar after about 15-20 minutes to ask about my order and the bartender said something along the lines of "Your food is right there." My food had been sitting outside the kitchen for 15-20 minutes undelivered, so it was cold by the time I picked it up. About a minute later, same bartender comes to my table and took my food back to provide me with a fresh meal, which totally made up for what had happened, and that's really good business. The food quality was really great, and I would certainly...
