Great little place right off the main path. It's a little meadery with an attached bar. Cool decor, knowledgeable staff, and amazing alcohol. My wife got a flight and I sampled hers. I randomly selected the bourbon barrel apple pie and by happenstance hit my favorite. They do scheduled tours and I look forward to going on one. We bought a couple of bottles to take home and I can't wait to kick back with a glass of this with a good book. Liquid, sweet, golden warmth is the best description I can give.
Update Had another great evening here. I went with my wife on their tour. Between the two of us we samples all the different Meads and ended up buying several bottles. The tour was interesting, the different Meads were amazing, and the staff was friendly and informative.
Definitely recommend doing the tour but if not it's a great little bar right off the Short North. Great atmosphere, unique drinks, and a great staff make this a no brainier as a cool place to relax. Looking forward to many...

Love this place. It feels like the classiest bar you could walk into, and still be rockin' jeans and flipflops. Being from DC originally, I really appreciate the diversity of the folks who frequent Bros Drake. That can sometimes be hard to find in Cbus.
They generally have good live music Fridays & Saturdays with the Patio open if it's nice out. I'll usually stop by here after doing Gallery Hop to cool off with a refreshing mead. I'll be bringing another two bottles of the Apple Pie Mead back for Thanksgiving. Was a huge hit last year.
For the non-mead drinkers, they always have good beer on tap (Jackie O's WHAT!?). Also, any time I see the Kombucha on tap, I'll get that mixed some locally distilled vodka....mmmmmm.
Hands down, 5 stars for this joint. Doesn't get much better...

Original: Loved my time here. The service was exceptional, and they have a billiard table as well as a dart board.
Got 2 flights, left with a bottle of summer queen and a bottle of battleaxe.
Only recommendation I have is corks for all bottles as my summer queen had a cap and I deformed it when removing. It's no biggie, I just want to savor it because it was my favorite and is a seasonal. I put a cork in it.
Their meads were primarily light (as in not heavy) meads with typical abv around 14%. They had bourbon barrell varieties, which were quite good. Pretty diverse selection there. There were of course meads in the flights that weren't my digs, but I'm quite happy with my selection.
I'll be...
