We ran out to Comanche, Texas, today to go to a local winery. Near the winery is a wonderful little Mexican food place. These guys make real authentic Mexican food, not like the watered-down Tex-Mex stuff you find all over Texas. Los Juan's does it right. I ordered the Barbacoa. If you don't know what barbacoa is, it is cow head. The entire cow head is cooked in a pot with tongue and all. It was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The owner makes it a few times a week. He will also smake brisket on the weekend. I'm looking forward to that. I love small family operated places. My mom and wife also enjoyed their food. They had tacos and chilerelleno. However, I feel that they could work on the interior of the restaurant. It's a little bit too eclectic. Overall, this is a great place where the owner loves what he does.

Excellent BBQ, I had the brisket and sausage, everything was very good. I'm very picky when it comes to BBQ because almost everyone in Texas is an expert BBQ smoker and everyone is better than the other person...but since I didn't have to smoke the brisket to perfection, Los Juanes did and I recommend this restaurant to all the picky BBQ experts to give this place a try.

Food was good, recommended the place if you are in comanche. Tortillas are homemade that was a super plus. The staff is kinda friendly but I guess it was to early so I understand. It is just 2 of then so be patient but the food was worth it. Love the chorizo and egg it was great. Would go back.

The most disappointing breakfast I've had in a long time. Where to begin? The food was definitely not cooked by a true Mexican cook, though I couldn't see who was cooking it I've eaten enough real Mexican food, Migas to be exact to know. The tortillas are thick, I mean really thick, so not great at all and way to thick to use in Migas. As well, there is no chips and salsa served with brkfst, you'll hear the importance of that momentarily. But back to the meal, the Migas plate is served with French fries! Soooooo not being too hungry I opted not to have brkfst while my husband ordered the Migas plate. I told the waitress I'd have a bite of his and coffee. She told me there was a charge of $3 for an extra plate so I said don't bring the plate. When we went to check out the cashier insisted that we had to pay the extra $3 because the signage says for plate or sharing. When we asked the owner why he said because he has to wash the extra plate, we didn't use an extra plate, and he said because of extra salsa, which we didn't get any chips and salsa since they don't serve them at brkfast. So needless to say I told him we wouldn't be coming back to his restaurant and he was ok with losing the business. Will never eat...

Ok... Here's the thing... A customer does not look at the cash register when they walk into a restaurant... On the menu the beef brisket burrito I ordered was $4.50 and I was told by the server that I wasn't allowed to have the Pico on the side I either wanted it on my burrito or not at all and I wanted to order a single cheese and onion enchilada and I was told I couldn't order a single enchilada that I would have to order a whole dinner..... Not good business manners... Then we go to pay and there is a sign on the register that depending on the price of beef your meal could be increased up to 15 percent... Burrito went from $4.50 to $6.35 and it was a small burrito and the queso we ordered was a small bowl half full and on the menu it said $5.00 ... She rang it up as $6.35 as well..... The food was good and hot but I...
