Living in a small town can be hard, especially when you have crooks and bad actors that go without accountability. Last week, I decided to start my day with a delicious crossiant and donut from Good Donut on my way to work. I worked my usual work day and ventured home only to find out that later that evening a weird transaction was on my bank account. Unable to speak with my bank after hours and not entirely sure of what the charge was intended for, I made sure to add âcall the bankâ to my next daysâ to-do list. However, by the next morning nearly $8,000 was stolen from my account. Immediately, I searched my wallet for my bank card when I realized that the clerk never returned it to me.
Not only did they attempt purchases at Target, used a money transfer company to send money to their relatives oversees, but they also swiped some money for themselves and used a shell company to siphon the money into their shell company, called âGood Stuffâ. How original (major eye roll). The sad part is, I am not the first. đ But, I am overly committed to being the last!!! This business does not belong in our town, nor does it represent the values of our city.
After immediately being affected by this catastrophic event, I immediately was flooded with the thoughts of how I would pay my mortgage, utilities, car note, and buy groceries. I get paid once a month and as soon as my paycheck was deposited, they took it all AND SOME! Instead of being a hot head and confronting the business myself (which would not have went well), I contacted the Commerce PD to file a report. Thanks to Office Bolton for taking my statement and showing genuine care, but almost 11 days after itâs still sitting on someoneâs desk and not assigned to anyone!! đ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż Iâve followed up 3 times both via telephone and in-person with still not outreach or updates, other than âitâs still pending assignment in CIDâ.
These behaviors do not represent the Commerce that I know and love. Letâs be clear, Iâm not from here nor this state. But, if we want people to move here, live here and stay here, Gosh darnâ weâve got to take care of them and act like we give a crap about them.
P.S: Like my students say, âIâve got the receiptsâ. Hereâs just some of those transactions.
Beware, Be Vigilant, and Boycott...
Read moreI hate to do this, but it's a must. Food is great. Today some products looked as though they had been sitting there more than a day. The customer service is terrible. I cannot express how upsetting it is to be asked what you want and then out of no where they walk away and leaving you standing there while they answer a phone instead of handling the customer at hand. Or letting one of the other staff members answer the phone. Only to be passed by several other employees without being asked if I needed anything. So I said screw this and walked out with everything we were going to buy on the counter top and took my business elsewhere. Never will I step foot in there again and it's my son's favorite place and it's the only place he likes.... So needless to say I just had to break my child's heart today. I will not tolerate being intentionally ignored. I miss the old staff. These ones have proven to hire thieves and poor customer service...
Read moreWe come here at least once a week, but usually 2 or 3 times! They have a great selection, food is fresh, and most importantly they are kind and have great customer service. They are quick and helpful with accommodating large orders even at the busiest times and they are a family-oriented business. This will always be my go-to for great...
