Huck's Cafe — Restaurant in Commerce

About a year ago I left 5 stars for this restaurant but the past two times I've eaten there....it has not been worth it. About a month ago, I had company and bragged about Hucks yummy burgers and fries, I grabbed some food To-go and went straight home, when I got there my fries were cold, seemed like they had been pre-blanched, or either cooked before and just redropped in the oil. Overcooked and cold. So I decided to give the place another run through more recently. I even explained on the phone to the woman what happened with our food before. She stated the owner was cooking and would make sure my food was hot and fresh. I again get take out and come home, may I add I live about a one minute drive from there. Literally one street over.... anyways, I get my food, which I had to wait on when I got there "cause it's still cooking", no worries I got excited to have yummy hucks again and to my shock when I got back home those fries were cold and soggy. Like they had been cooked before and was just sitting there in the To-go box getting gross. The quality has gone down and so has the service. I hate it because I really liked having a yummy place, walking distance but I don't think I will be returning to Hucks anytime soon. Or recommending...

Not many people dining in so we decided to dine in. Table was dirty and had not been cleaned from previous diners and requested them to clean it. Ordered our food to eat there and 2 to go orders. Bread for the Grilled Cheese was burned and hard, shrimp dinner & hushpuppies was so burnt you couldn't eat it. I requested ketchup & 57 sauce for Hamburger Steak Dinner and waited 10-15min for Young Server to bring it back but never did. I went to cashier and asked for my coandiments which the young server had started fixing another tables drink order. Group of young teens came in and NO SOCIAL DISTANCING was practiced and immediately went into the kitchen area without face covering or hands being washed talking to friends working in kitchen. I also noticed a young teen working in the kitchen with long hair and no hair NET. CLEANLINESS & HYGIENE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO STOP THE SPREAD DURING THIS CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC WHICH WASN'T PRACTICED HERE DON'T THINK I'LL BE GOING BACK...

I have been coming to this restaurant a long time. This particular ti'm.I called in my order and told them I'd be coming through the drive through. The lady that served me at the window. Said it would be a little bit before my order was ready and if there was a car that pulled behind me to go ahead and pull up and she would bring my food out I noticed that 3 cars have already came and gone.So I was at that point waiting a good 20 minutes.So I decided to walk in and ask them where my order is.She proceeded to tell me that there was still a wait. Then another girl came out. Ask me what my name was.She went back to the kitchen and got my order and told me that it Had just got ready.I got back to the car and noticed my food was cold. So that tells me that my order has been sitting there a long time. Now I would originally go ahead and go back in and ask them to remake it.But I had to get back to work and I only had so much time.
