I have been sleeping on this gem in Comstock because I live on the other side of town from Comstock. No longer will I let that stop me. This unassuming place provided excellent food, fantastic service, and the chill homey atmosphere. I had chicken mole which is one of my favorite dishes. They got the mole sauce exactly right. I also ordered an al pastor taco and chips and guacamole. The chips are crisp and thin but strong enough to dip up guacamole. The guacamole has big chunks of avocado in it with raw onion and cilantro, very flavorful. The refried beans are exactly as I like them a little chunky, with just enough cheese on them. But the star of the show was that mole sauce. It has a layered, nuanced sweet and spicy flavor. We watched our food being prepared in the kitchen, and it was nice not to see something get yanked out of a freezer. This was a great experience and we'll come back soon.

This place doesn't get more hole in the wall out there! I know i can be rather harsh in my reviews, but I just like good food. So lets get started. I drove right past the place. It blends in and doesn't stand out at all. I walked up and it was like walking up to someone's house. I went inside and the dinibg room was empty. It was 515, so big deal. On the menu, chips n salsa was $2. I didnt try them but they had some interesting appetizers. I knew i was getting a larger meal so i didn't try them. I ordered the fajitias with the trio of meat. 18.49, good deal! It took a few minutes but the portion was not disappointing in the least! Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. Definitely worthy of another visit. And coming from me, that means something! Follow me for more up front honest reviews.

Oh it was so good. Yet another diamond in the rough. It looks rough and sketchy on the outside and was surprised to see the uncovered Furnace/ AC unit in the dining room, but this place uses every square inch of space. They had a special consisting of 2 enchiladas and a taco, so figured I would try it out. It came with the usual refried beans, rice along with lettuce and sour cream etc.. I ordered it with both the green and red sauce on the side in order to add what I liked as I went. Tacked on the salsa and chips. The chips were some of the best I have had in a while. I guess it helps to be in a town like Kalamazoo where there are more than a dozen Mexican restaurants vying for your dollars.
