Love going to Kinders and have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Today I ordered online and was curious since they switched from the punch card to the loyalty program is there a way my purchase to my loyalty account. While patiently waiting for what I assume was a manager train a girl how to wrap some meat. I asked the girl and gentleman if this was a possibility to add my purchase to my loyalty account. Since she was new she relayed the question to the young man and he just sort of blew the question by responding, "She already charged you". But I was confused cause I ordered online and my questioned pertained to that perspective, but it seemed that he wasn't interested in having an answer or finding one. So I told him I will wait til I see the owner who usually works there and ask him personally if I should discontinue online orders and just order in person and wait in line during my lunch break on a Saturday when there tons of people with their baseball kiddos or just brave the wild wonders of Concord for worst food. They were not super busy at the time cause they had more workers than people eating at that time and I know they generally hire younger employees who may not have the answers to the universe lol but it was a simple question which, "You were already charged" didn't seem to be a correct SOP for a loyalty program which should have explanations for online ordering not applying to...
Read moreThere's two Kenders. One off center near the nob hill grocery store in Martinez and this particular that we're speaking of. Both restaurants are not as good as it presents it self. The Chicken is dry as hell an not juicy at all period. The meat loaf is definitely not moist and does not taste like meat at all. Way to stiff as if it is mixed with other ingredients that should not be mixed with.. The Baul pork was pretty good and the Ribs was great although the membrane of the rib could be pulled off before cooking I can say much for that only.. The links was very very very greasy having to put the link in between napkin's too soak off the heavy grease and not as tender as if you have to pull more with your teeth to get a good bite.. The Mac n Cheese OMG that's not Mac n Cheese. Deffently not how it's made it can use some Velveeta cheese and butter as well as a little milk too that elbow.. The cooked meat is in the warmer way to long drying it out.. As to the Cooks well they need some tuning up themselves regarding their Culinary Skills... Being a food Critic eating at the best restaurants. I Give 5 ⭐'s plus to the ( Kenders) in ( Walnut Creek ). Ultimately they are the Best period.. As to the Servers at these two Kenders locations they need Professional organization about themselves and how they deal with customers and the answer's they give there customers when asked instead of some I don't know...
Read moreCannot properly cook food medium rare, nonexistent customer service, and poor hospitality.
I highly recommend staying away from here. I placed a phone order, when I arrived, I waited almost 10 minutes at the pick up counter before someone even acknowledged me, even though at least 10 of the people behind the counter saw me waiting. After that, I still had to wait another 5 minutes before I was finally helped. And, the place wasn't even crowded at the time.
Afterwards, before I left, I noticed they had made my incorrectly. Not to mention they do not know how to cook an order medium rare. On several occasions, my medium rare order is either cooked medium well or well done, burnt around the edges and all dried out. This time was no different as usual.
When I brought the mistake up to the manager, he obviously didn't care, didn't apologize for their incompetent mistake, and not once did he ask me how he could make things right. What an absolute joke of a manager! It's quite apparent the kid has no customer service skills or any real experience in the hospitality industry. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this one or any other kinders again. I highly suggest you...
