Kunkel's Drive In — Restaurant in Connersville

I tried their hand breaded tenderloin after my daughter said how good they were. She gets them every week. My first week they were delicious so I couldnt wait for the next tues. deal. Well I ordered 2 this time and also a pork fritter. Each tenderloin was about5-6 inches long by about21/2 inches wide.They had the appearance of left overs that had been reworked to get rid of at my expense. Neither me or my wife could bite into this reheated, re done looking peices of meat. They also didnt have the condiments on them that we ordered. This week I asked my wife if she wanted to try them again and she said no way.I do admit the first experience with the sandwich was very good but our second experience was one that showed there is definitely someone among you that doesn't have the costumers ...

I'm not from Indiana, and to be honest, in this area I have been really let down by the food options. Doesn't seem to be much variety or quality. Kunkel's was a pleasant surprise, their food was great. You could tell that they had spent a good number of years working on crafting yummy food.

Their onion rings were hand breaded and delicious. Their pulled pork fries were amazing. We got a piece of strawberry pie and it was so fresh and full of big chunks of beautiful strawberries.

Plus, our waitress was extremely sweet and, unprompted, said that she loved working there and that it was fun. Can't get any better than that! Kunkel's is a gem in Connersville, definitely stop by if...

There is a lot of good memories . it's been there a long long time and a large part of the good memories is that the food they serve is excellent combined with the old car drive ins. This is as close as u can get with the past. There is times when u actually go back to the 50's. Car hops included. They make u feel u are important by always giving excellent service.
