Cerro Grande — Restaurant in Conover

We eat here once a week and get our favorite, I always get the Cerro Super and substitute the Mole sauce for cheese sauce and have NEVER been charge $2.25 extra for the substitution… asked for a extra bag of chips since they give such a small bag of chips for 2 people.. and got charged $2.00 for a extra small bag of chips.. like why? You can go in and eat unlimited chips for free but you’re gonna charge me $2.00 more for a small bag. Makes no sense, I’ve never been charged extra for chips and always get a small extra bag, and then ontop of that we get fee’d 4 times for “To go” $0.25 cents… what in the world. We loved this place but if they can’t take care of their customers that do to go orders as much as the customers eating in, then no thanks. I’ll take my business elsewhere where....

I wasn't impressed!! I ordered a burrito grande which is a steak burrito and it came out with chicken. When they finally brought out the correct burrito, it was very bland. The salsa was not flavorful. The bathrooms were nasty. Was really hoping that this would be my new favorite Mexican restaurant, but it will not be. Service was okay, as I said my burrito was completely wrong. We were seated at a table that had been recently wiped down and my seat was very wet, unfortunately I did not notice until I sat down, so my pants are now very damp. It looks like we have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant! Service-5 stars, Food-5 stars. The atmosphere and nice seating was superb! (Heartfelt story: My Grandson left his wallet here , went back next morning to see if it was turned in, and yes, it was! In our world, these days, not everyone is honest! It would have been a total hassel to replace his Drivers License, VA ID, Military ID and College ID and credit cards, not to mention the bad timing as he was moving to his new apartment. Thank you to the staff at Cerro Grandes, and they will definitely get all our familys business! Go try them, the food is off...
