In my six decades, I've walked out of maybe four or five restaurants, but never a bar. Until now. This was a truly awful experience. My wife and I were cycling the NWLRT, and I had scoped this place out months ago as a possible lunchtime stop. On our way north we passed by it and committed to the plan. On our way back south we pulled in at about 1150, and parked the trikes at their rack. That should have been my first clue... weeds overgrowing it, and broken beer bottles directly in front. We go inside, are not greeted or even acknowledged by the bartender. No signs to tell you what to do. We sat ourselves. No menus on the table. No QR code. Bartender tends to his patrons at the bar. Another couple shows up, seats themselves. We all wait. Nothing from the staff. My wife comments that it is 100% male, all at the bar, and it appears we will not be served. We leave, with her starving, after 15 minutes of being ignored. It is a shame, since this place is right on the trail, and no doubt they would have a lot of business from cyclists if they wanted to treat them better than they did us. Praemonitus...
Read moreStopped in for lunch, right after bicycle riding on the NW Lancaster River Trail. The establishment has the atmosphere of a local biker bar, but friendly, clean, and inviting. The bartender was running the bar and waiting on dining room tables by herself. We were seated and waited on very quickly. The menu had quite a lot to choose from; your typical pub menu. My wife got the crispy chicken sandwich. Unfortunately the chicken was too crispy… burnt, to be honest, (see photo). My loaded steak sandwich was extremely salty. Sadly, this pub/restaurant is located right next to the trail, where we start and end our bike rides. I’m hoping an 8 year old was manning the grill, because they were short on help that day. We’ll give the place another shot, and hope for a better food experience. I gave it 3 stars because the place and service was good. The food, more like 1 star, needs...
Read moreWill never return!!!!!! Was warned that one of the female bartenders would not serve drinks to random people if she was being "moody" which I have heard from a few people. Well I took ten of my friends there to celebrate just for her to "cut off" my friend as soon as they walked in. At that point in the night they had two beers before they got there and I had five. (And we all walked two blocks) He asked for a beer and a shot and she said no. Then she gave him a beer and said "finish that and leave and come back later.. Maybe I'll serve you then." Then turned to me and asked what I'd have. Lol On our way out someone asked my friend what happened and he said she was being a moody c**t. Just for that person to end up being her dad. Then he got in my friends face along with others from the bar. So my impression of this place is .. Unless your a regular you...
