You absolutely HAVE TO TRY IT!!!! I have to be honest. This was not my first choice for pizza. A friend had been following this establishment since they were in Conroe. I had never heard about “Detroit Style” pizza. Chicago style is not my thing, I am a New York style pizza fan.
We went to appease my friend’s interest. GAME CHANGER!!!! The crust is incredible, the toppings are clearly only the best that can be purchased. But the “toasted” part is the very best part. This pizzas is so good. That’s saying a lot because we are fortunate to have several really good pizza choices here in Magnolia. In today’s world when ordering online is the new thing and can be daunting (especially for someone my age) their process is simple and easy. The staff is genuinely friendly and courteous. I can’t recommend this place with any higher regard. I never thought I would like this style of pizza, now it is my favorite and my go to. If you don’t give it a go, you are shorting yourself from a wonderful experience.
And I haven’t even mentions Crazy Train which is a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to have...
Read moreThis is one of the best Detroit style Pizzas I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve had quite a few. I love via 313, Thunderbird In Dallas, heck even jets Detroit pizza can hit the spot. This is one is right up there with Via and thunderbird if not better.
The quality of ingredients they choose to use in every product they sell, including their ranch, is obvious once you taste it. We had the garlic cheese bread and an island boy pizza. The edges had the perfect Detroit style fried cheese crunch that you would expect from true Detroit style pizzas. They managed to perfectly fry the cheese edge, creating an amazing crunch, while maintaining a pillowy/airy center. Also, these are reasonably sized pizzas that can feed three people or two really hungry people. Well, I probably could have eaten one whole one by myself because it was that good.
I am jealous I live in Fort Worth and not closer to this place. Houston y’all are blessed.
For real though don’t sleep...
Read moreHad seen stuff on the socials about this place, and finally made a quick first visit recently -- definitely lived up to (admittedly high) expectations. Did the online ordering before heading that way, and got my "order ready" text just as I pulled into the parking lot of the Crazy Train food park where Toasted is sited. Bottom line, this is the best Detroit-style pizza I'm aware of in the Houston area, and the best pizza period in the Northwest Houston / Harris County area. Got the Downtowner, and it had that lasting crunch on the not-too-heavy crust and a nice char on that cupped pepperoni. SO good. I don't give five stars easily, but this place may get the bump after another visit or two (which I certainly intend to make). If you are going to be anywhere in the area, this is worth a detour. Don't live in regret...
Postscript -- made another visit. Five stars. My fav pizza in the greater...
