I have been coming to this restaurant for over a year now, the beef fajita meat has always tasting amazing and until today it was my favorite Mexican restaurant. We hardly have ever had any issues with this restaurant, today when we went to grab our food for pickup we ordered at 5:15 and arrived at 6 because we were told it would take 30-40 minutes to cook our food. I went back home and opened up our food, it smelled like paint and when I took a bite out of the beef fajita it tasting like tap water and had a very fishy after taste. I called the resteruant and implored to the manager that we love this restaurant and that we are regulars and this is the first time that we have had any complaints, he insisted that we bring our food back so he can remake it all for us. After we brought our food back and he told me that it was our fault that we arrived at the time we did and that is why the food tasted bad, he remade only 3/4 dishes that we had ordered before, fresh this time. I got in my car and opened up the food and was hit with the exact same smell as before, took a bite and it tasted the exact same, like tap water and fish. I went back in and said that the fresh food tasted the exact same as the dishes we were given before and asked if they had changed anything with the way they cook their meat. He exclaimed that they have been doing their fajita meat the same for 35 years. I then asked if anyone else has complained and he said “Look around, nobody else is complaining”. He was very aggressive, rude, and spoke to me very disrespectfully, he showed me extremely underdeveloped customer service skills and made me feel like it was my fault that the food tasted like it did. Like I somehow cooked it to taste this bad. I’m utterly disappointed at this restaurant and it’s poor management, they need a new manager that has any sort of customer service skills. I will not be returning to this...
Read moreI would give this place one star but i don’t think the bus boys, and the other staff members aside from our server should be blamed for our poor service. We went in as a party of 15 (being a server at one point myself, I completely understand that as a large party, comes stress and the need for more help.) I felt the server received the help she could have needed for this particular table because everyone else brought out the food besides her. Server hardly knew the menu, we did not all receive our silverware and items were forgotten. Some people received cold or overcooked food, when others on opposite side of the table received hot food. My main issue was the dish I ordered was entirely too spicy for me (I understand that particular issue is on me) and I politely asked if I could return my dish or order something else and the server said no, that the only way that I could do that is if I said the server (her) messed up my order and that wasn’t the case because “she warned me” wouldn’t say it was much of a warning since I was the one that asked if it was spicy in the first place. I had to keep and pay for my dish. Needless to say I did not leave a tip. I have never been to a restaurant where if I wasn’t satisfied with my meal, I couldn’t return or get a different dish. It would be different if I ate half of my meal then asked to return it, no! I ate two of the shrimps! One on each side to see if I could possibly finish one side but both were too spicy. OH and I couldn’t even try a sample of the sauce! That wasn’t an option! Host and server also forgot the birthday singing we requested, she also seemed irritated that we needed more items that should have been there in the first place.
I will not be back and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone else. Restrooms were...
Read moreWe come here every once in a while. The parking is atrocious on a Friday or any day during the weekend, for that matter. So, the hassle isn't really worth it. We didn't want to drive into Humble or Houston, so we came by. The wait was about 20 minutes. The waiter was not good at all. I asked for water with lemon and was given lemonade. The menu is like a heavy spiral bound book, and they don't really have a lot of options to choose from. Aside from that, our food took forever to come out, and even though we ran out of chips and salsa, the waiter never checked in on us or offered to refill our drinks. No silverware or condiments when served our food and lastly my flautas were dry and the chicken inside was burnt to a crisp, they literally threw a slither of chicken milanesa cut into a strip and fried that and served it up. I was so taken back by what they gave me. My husband asked to speak with a manager. They didn't even apologize. She (manager) just asked if I wanted something else. I requested fajita nachos, and that took another 30 minutes for them to bring out. My family was done eating, and I was still waiting on my nachos. When the manager finally brought my food, she apologized and said they were really busy back there. Nachos are super quick to throw together, so there is no excuse. When we got the bill, they still charged us for the nachos when they should have replaced their burnt flautas at no cost to us. The service is trash here, and food is either bland or burnt. We won't return for mediocre poorly executed mexican food. This place needs new management, better trained cooks,...
