Anglers Restaurant — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

My family and I ate here on our weekend vaca and I have to say we were all disappointed. I had checked the reviews and even asked a local about it. From the service (from the first waotress) to the table rearranging it sucked! We were a party of 12, so they set up a table for 12. The problem was there was no room to eat! My mom was on the corner and had no room for her plate to sit and my daughter was trying to eat her salad and couldn't even move her arms to eat bc of how squashed we were!! We asked to move this other table to have more room and was told no until my mom complained and said she would just eat on the floor infront of other guest. As a waitress myself you do everything you can do to make the customers happy and comfortable. Now the other girl who came to take our drink orders was very rude to my mom when she asked for diet coke. There is diet coke on the menu but they only have coke zero I guess. When she came back to give us our drinks she literally threw our straws at us!!! The waitress that we ended up getting for our food order was so nice and cheerful we had no problems with her at all. My husband steak had to be sent back twice bc it was over cooked! Not to mention it was so hot in there! My mom's burger was still pink inside...I know some people like it that way but my mom would not eat it, she's picky on the stuff she likes and don't like pink in her burger. Went in and wanted to sit outside but the fans were not working on the patio. We decided to get a table in the restaurant. When we came back inside it was chaos. There was not a hostess to sit people and the waitresses were scrambling trying to do way to much. The waitress who finally seated us got an attitude that we didn’t take the table outside and finally just put us at an open table by the salad bar. The inside of the restaurant was literally like an oven. The waitresses were pouring sweat and after about 10 minutes so were we. They literally had no AC going and it was in the high 80’s outside. We finally got a waitress and she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She had way, way to many tables to take care of to her credit. We finally got our food after an extremely long wait and to the restaurants credit it was pretty good. The shrimp and steak was good and I actually enjoyed it this morning as leftovers. The reason I didn’t eat at the restaurant was because it was so hot inside I actually got sick to my stomach. After we got the check I finally had to go outside to get some air. It took my mom about fifteen minutes to actually get the check and cash out. She had to get up and go find someone to cash out. They need a lot more staff to handle the business they had. I used to love this place and we eat here regularly. Even growing up eating at this place. This place has gone down hill.

I went on vacation back to my hometown. Went twice to give them a second chance just to be as bad.

The first time we got catfish. The batter was so bland and flavorless I was surprised it was catfish at all. The only taste was oil as it was put in way too early in oil at way too low temp.

The second time we waited over an hour for our food and waited 10 mins to be seated. The burger was cold and could be used as a cold pack. The fries were just as cold as the burger. Both of them were very bland. At this point I took a bite and left the food. After waiting another 10 mins the waiter never did the double back or bite check; we went up front and asked to pay so we could leave. As a fat guy I only left a place once without...
