Brasswood Bar + Kitchen

My friend and I decided to try this place for dinner because we got a recommendation on a wine tour and I will say it was not worth the distance to try. This place is in St. Helena and we stayed in Napa so almost a 40 minute lyft drive. But the most popular thing people refer to is the cheese pull that's placed on bread and yes the presentation and how they come to you table to setup in front of you is really nice, but the taste of the cheese and bread I was not impressed at all. I also ordered the fritti and it lacked flavor the batter was very flavorless I would not recommend it had fried lemon, calamari, olives and shrimp. For my entree I had the scallops and the scallops actually tasted good, but the risotto was a no go for me. My friend had the chicken picatta and she said it was pretty good except for asparagus it was very overcooked. Now our drinks my friend had the cucumber drink and she said it was super strong and very nasty tasting like bitter. I had the perfect storm as my first choice and it was a very spicy drink which I did not know so I had to send it back immediately. The waiter suggested the mai Tai and it was actually very tasty so I would recommend that drink. Just know it is very sweet. I think the service here is good, but the food is a no go for me. I would not recommend this place nor would I try it again. I gave it 2 stars because of my Mai Tai drink, the look of the place and the waiter.
