Cantaritos Mexican Kitchen — Restaurant in Ridgeland

Took awhile for our family of 6 to get seated because nobody was up front. A waitress pointed to where we should sit and after we sat down, another waitress said no move over here. So we moved and it was a while before that same waitress came to get our drink order. Chips weren't brought out till right before our food came out. Pizza was good and the burritos were good. However the shrimp fajitas were an awful experience. Fajitas are piping hot and the shrimp were not deveined and still had tails on. They didn't bring tortillas out either so while I waited I struggled to not burn myself while pulling tails off and cutting off the other gross bits. The waitress never came to check on us and not a single drink was refilled. When my husband was filling out the check, he paused and was staring at the wall behind my seat. I turned to look and saw a bug crawl behind my seat. I got up to look back there and there was dozens of ROACHES. Not palmetto bugs. These were German cockroaches. I let the waitress know and she said "I'm sorry" but her tone was not surprised. My husband threw up before even leaving the parking lot. Highly recommend you run in the other direction...

It’s been years since I’ve been to Mi Tiera’s so I had no idea they had closed. Although we saw the mediocre reviews, we were tired and hungry abs decided to stay. The wait staff was eating at a nearby table and took forever to greet us, bring water/chips and salsa. And we had to ask to order our meal, and for the margarita that had been ordered 15 minutes prior. My margarita was AMAZING and my Granddaughter’s chimi was very good…which is why I gave the food a 3 instead of a zero. She asked to have the beans removed, no red sauce and queso instead. We had it just as it came and it was filled with beans and some weird shaved cheese that felt like rice. The red sauce was unlike any I’ve ever had and overall, ruined the meal. The chips were hard as a brick and the salsa was ok , but could have been more flavorful . Not only was the food nothing impressive, as nice as the waitress was, she was absent and more worried about being on her phone and eating. We had to ask for everything and we really should have walked out. I will never go back and wouldn’t...

This restaurant was recommended on Next Door and we went for my husband's birthday tonight. Thankfully his meal of enchiladas was decent and he rated a 3 out of 5. It's all downhill from there. Upon entering we're informed we are unable to order from the bar due to no bartender which is not a problem since we weren't interested in drinking anyway. Next we spot pizza. Really, full size pepperoni pizza. We should have left then. I ordered nachos as a meal. There was absolutely no seasoning in the hamburger meat and I call it that because it can't be called taco meat. It was just loose hamburger over chips with Mozzarella cheese melted over it with a dollop of sour cream and pico. The worst nachos I've had in my 49 years. My 14 year old son ordered basically chicken and rice but it tasted like frozen chopped up chicken with frozen bagged vegetables and the same Mozzarella melted over it. He couldn't hardly eat it. So we request the check and are told the computer is down and we'll have to go up front. Oh and tips couldn't be put on the card today, so cash only. Fiasco...
