I was in town visiting my 88 year old parents when my mother took a fall. So my stay was extended as my sister and I cared for her in her recovery. It was an intense time for the whole family of coming to terms with their needs going forward and full-time caregiving. Who supported me through this process? My husband, my friends, and Catkin coffee. As many days as I could, I would sneak away in the morning to have one of their amazing coffees and their divine pastries. The ownerās friendly welcome buoyed me as I started my day, the coffee fueled me, and the pastry was a little necessary act of self-care. Catkin coffee is like a little oasis, thereās even a beautiful garden area in the back. Basically, I would give 10 stars if I could. Iām so glad this place exists out here in this little corner...
