I recently had the pleasure trying great food and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for what would be a flavorful and satisfying meal. I ordered the classic jerk chicken which was smoky, tender, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Curry chicken, The spices had clearly been marinated deeply into the meat, giving each bite a rich, authentic taste. Paired with rice and peas and steamed cabbage, the dish felt hearty and true to its roots. The fried plantains were a sweet contrast to the spice of the mains — caramelized just right. I finished off the meal with a cold glass of sorrel, which was refreshing and spiced with hints of ginger and cloves. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff clearly take pride in the food and the culture they’re sharing. Whether you're craving a spicy kick, a soulful stew, or just a comforting plate of island favorites, this spot delivers. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Jamaican.

(Came in 11/29/23) Being a trucker and always eating at truck stops, it’s nice to have a place right next to you like this one. It was around 45m before they closed and I was hoping they were still serving food as I know some restaurants like to clean up early, I called them to place an order for jerk chicken and all he said was “yeah come and get it” and hung up lol. I ended up getting a heavy plate of the jerk chicken with plantains and cabbage. Boy let me tell you something….this chicken was falling off the bone like butter on a hot knife, I was damn near blown away by the flavor. This is place, from now on will be my go-to if im ever back in that area. I urge all of my fellow truckers who’s staying at that truck stop give this place a shot. 10/10 Pictures speak for themselves

The high reviews make sense. I stopped by yesterday after work and I’m grateful I found this tucked-away spot. It may be a hidden, low-key location, but good food travels by word of mouth.

I ordered oxtails with rice & cabbage, plantains, and a pineapple-ginger drink. The oxtails were tender and full of flavor (the gravy is a main character), and the rice & cabbage were delicious. The plantains weren’t the usual fried-crispy style but more baked/less oily and still really good. The drink was fresh and bright. On my way out I was offered a small sample of the mac & cheese, also delicious. One person was holding down the front, and I’m not sure if there’s one or two in the back, but whoever is behind that stove: your food comforted my soul.

From the first bite to the last sip, I felt cared for. In times like these, that kind of comfort matters. I could taste that the food is cooked with love and that’s an ingredient that can’t be copied. May your kitchen stay busy and your blessings overflow. I’ll be back, and I’ll be sending folks your way. If anyones wondering whether to go, Go! Let this meal...

As soon as you enter you are welcomed in cheerfully. It's quiet with a tasteful song list playing like Whitney Houston in the background Many people pick up to go and JAH B has all the delivery convenience as well.

It's not fast food so you can call it in if you do not have patience. But you can make it an eat in experience if you choose so that you and your partner have time to conversate. I personally like this because restaurants now seem to rush you through your meal and hover over you. This will not happen at JAH B.

The food is flavored to the right level. Jerk and Curry should not be so hot that you lose the flavor of the meat. You should still taste the oxtail, the goat as well as the chicken. If you are looking for something different and not the same old same old, you've got to stop here at this restaurant.

By the way, the cabbage and the plantains are on...
