It’s a very nice yet small restaurant and was surprised to have been seated immediately. I noticed next to my seat was a wrapper of some sort on the floor, and I was quite surprised when she took the extra utensils (and one too many) and cups away that it did not get picked up. I questioned some of the things that were on the filet and the server didn’t seem quite sure, but I chose it anyway. I’m sure that even though this is a very nice resort, they still have issues hiring because they didn’t exactly have the gracefulness putting plates down, and my knife went into all of the sauces and he just walked away. I ordered the petite filet and was beyond delighted that not only was the steak perfectly cooked the way I like it, but every single thing on the plate was absolutely delicious! I do not have as big of an appetite as my eyes do, and always unable to finish a meal, I ate all but three bites of the steak as well as several pieces of the cauliflower because it was just that delicious it was worth being uncomfortable! It wasn’t even just the taste and perfectly cooked food, but the steak was a phenomenal cut. There were no chewy pieces in the middle, and only a slight amount of fat that was easily cut away from the top. My husband happily finished what I couldn’t. My husband had the Atlantic Salmon and ate every piece of food on that plate because he said it was that good. I recently dined at Oceanside Restaurant in Omni Resort, Amelia Island, and it was a truly relaxing experience, mainly due to its perfect location right in front of the sea. The oceanfront view creates a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to sit back, unwind, and enjoy a meal with a loved one. The sound of the waves and the ocean breeze really added to the charm, and it’s hard to beat such a beautiful setting for a meal.As for the food, I ordered the grain salad, which was a mix of grains and vegetables. While it was fresh and healthy, the flavors didn’t quite meet my expectations. It lacked the depth and seasoning that would have made it more memorable. The shrimp, on the other hand, was well-cooked and flavorful, a definite highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the calamari didn’t live up to the same standard—it was a bit bland and lacked the crispness I was hoping for.Despite the mixed experience with the food, the overall ambiance of the restaurant made it a pleasant visit. If you’re looking for the tartest margarita, the wrong food, and even a manager who apologizes for errors then doesn’t show back up with your requested condiments-this is your place!

I don’t ever write these because I know serving is a hard job, and I don’t blame our server. But on our last day I had to flag someone down 5 minutes after our food was dropped off to tell them it was the wrong food, ate 45 minutes after my fiancé finished, losing an hour of our last day. A manager who dropped it off said he would bring me a condiment I requested, then never showed back up. All they did was take my sandwich off the bill.

The resort had been lovely and Verandah was incredible, but they have these servers covering too many tables and clearly incompetent management that is incapable of supporting them or even attempting to make it up to a customer.

Maybe stop by for a drink (just avoid the margarita) when at the pool but don’t lose an hour of your vacation to this place. Food isn’t worth the annoyance and disrespect of the...
