A great little place in a good location. The food is good. I’ve been here twice and had two very different experiences with the service (which is why this is a 4). The first time, everyone was attentive and helpful. The second time it was like pulling teeth to be noticed.

I loved it here! Service was great food was tasty and the prices were great in comparison to all of the rest of the restaurants on the show grounds. Try the biscuit and gravy super yummy but eat that after you ride your horse otherwise all motivation will be gone lol.

We are here for the equestrian games and it is busy everywhere. We had to wait awhile for a table and that is understandable. Service and food were great. It is diner food I had one of the best club sandwiches ever. If we are ever this way we would stop again.

I'm local. Been here during the week and during Saturday Night Lights. They seem to be in a never-ending state of chaos. I worked in the restaurant and hospitality industries for 8 years back in the 90's, and enjoyed the most incredible management experience of my life. Professionalism, training, customer care...admittedly, I was spoiled, and customer service just isn't what it used to be.

To put it mildly, most of Roger's staff, with it's obvious lack of training and organization just doesn't belong at TIEC. It's really a shame because the diner concept is great, it's just a VERY poor execution.

××OWNERS TAKE NOTE×× You need real management and professional servers in here before the World Games; what you currently have cannot properly execute a run-of-the-mill busy Saturday night. They will be shellshocked during the games. It's not fair to the employees who are undertrained, and will therefore experience GREAT stress during heightened periods of traffic consisting of high dollar patrons coming with great expectations.

FYI-Hostesses sitting at a table at the entrance to the outdoor seating area, eating food and chatting as you walk in is incredibly substandard.

You're going to have folks from all over the world visiting during the games. It's a big deal. Is it possible you could not make Americans look like complete slobs, with no concept of professionalism in the hospitality industry? And while we're on the subject of unprofessionalism and slobs, would it be too much for your servers all to adhere to the same dress code? Something clean, modest and that detracts from all the tattoos and piercings if at all possible. Regardless of whether a restaurant is casual or fine dining, employees should always have a neat and professional appearance. Not only does it make a better (more appetizing) impression on the guests, it creates a sense of pride in the employees, and tends to generate a higher quality of service. Of course, the nicest uniform won't make up for the lack of proper training.

Food wise, the Philly cheese steak...okay and overpriced. Shakes are good, but good luck getting someone to ring them up for you when you order them at the counter. There's no designated cashier, and the manager standing 3 feet away from the cash register trying to find food runners, along with the frenzied waitstaff are just too busy to give you the time of day. God help them! The owners don't seem to care that they've had lousy management, and poor organization since they opened 3 years ago. Perhaps they're not paying enough for the job. If this diner was situated anywhere other than an International Equestrian Center, I'd have never taken the time to write this lengthy review, but given it's "high-end", "touristy" location I feel the owners/management need to be made aware of the dire need for...

We have been here twice. The first time was during the light show/Christmas winter wonderland.

Our first visit there, the food was good, good fun atmosphere. At first glance, it almost reminded me of the diner I used to love as a kid where I grew up. Though I thought my burger was greasier and not quite as good as other diners I had been too, my kids enjoyed their food while my pescetarian husband was content with his egg salad sandwich.

A month later, we decided to go again as we came back to ice skate in the outdoor rink set up at the equestrian center. A quarter of the dining tables were shut down with a lot of ants crawling over them by the window. Still we sat at a table to eat. The menu was even more limited than before. No egg sandwich, and so all my husband could eat was a salad. But we stayed for the kiddos. I got a Philly sandwich which was mediocre. But the kids burgers were raw. The manager came over, asking how we wanted them recooked but she tried to make it sound like it was our fault for asking burgers to be cooked medium. She told us the kids burgers are frozen patties and that they usually cook them medium well. So we agreed to medium well. They brought it out... The patties again looked pale and unappetizing and wet. I cut in it to check again and though most of it was an unappetizing but cooked brown... There were still spots that were completely raw. The manager came out to check again. I told her that there seemed to be uneven cooking given the use of frozen patties and that there were still obvious raw spots. She looked annoyed or miffed as she turned to walk away that we were still complaining.

We opted to try the adult "Rogers burger" and have the kids split it in our last ditch effort to get the kids food that is as safe to eat. At this point my daughter was upset her lunch consisted of just french fries. This one was more edible but now overcooked. We just went with it as the kids were hungry and at least there was less chance for them to get sick on an overcooked one as opposed to raw burgers.

Honestly, the cooks need to figure out how to cook meat to the correct doneness. And the frozen patties need to go. Just because they are children, it doesn't mean they don't know good food. My kids were discussing how Gordon Ramsay would have responded. We all agreed he would have spit out the food and then trashed or thrown the entire plate.

We will not...

We haven’t been out to eat as a family lately and this morning and decided to go eat Brunch there today. Wasn’t too crowded, we were seated immediately. But our server was less than friendly or enthusiastic. I can understand, everyone has their bad days. But we all have worked in the service industry, me still currently. Not one smile. Barely checked on us, had to get another server to refill our drinks. I had asked specifically what was in the home fries and they didn’t arrive as described. When I questioned it, our server never said a word and turned around. 10 minutes later, after I was done eating, she arrived with a saucer of the sautĂ©ed onions & peppers which were supposed to be cooked with the potatoes. $60 later, we wish we had gone to our local Denny’s for better food at half the price. We will not be back. No “thank you for coming” from the hostess as we left. Terrible...
