From what I read it is family owned and they just redid the dining room in an effort to revamp the old Shen’s Peking Chinese Restaurant to Shenese. The dining room looks great. Beautiful color choices, inviting, plenty of seating… Beyond that it was not an ideal dining experience. First off, prices are EXTREMELY high. Gone are the days of coming to eat Chinese food and getting combination meals at great prices. Expect to pay in the upper $20’s+ for a combo meal (combo includes CHOICE OF soup, roll, or rice instead of a little of each) $19-mid $20’s for al a carte. If the food was the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, then the prices might be worth it. Not the case though :( Mom had Shrimp Chow Fun. I have never had Chinese food that was tasteless before, but this plate was. Very oily too. I had Sesame Tofu. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t mind blowing either. If you look at the plate you can see that the tofu and broccoli are drowning in sauce that was a little too thin and very sweet for my liking. The service was fine but the food just didn’t hit the mark for me so unfortunately ,I don’t think that I will be coming back here for...
Read moreI have been coming to this restaurant over the past year the only reason i continue to come is because the food is better than the other restaurants in the area. I went to this restaurant with my mom and was having a long conversation after we finished eating.A women approached our table and told me and my mom to continue our conversation outside the restaurant because we were annoying the other customers due to our tone of voice. bare in mind my mom is 85 years old and is hard of hearing and i need to speak strong for her to understand me. when this happen this was the biggest insult the ever happen to me in front of my eldery mother. when i was paying at the cash register i ask the man who the chinese lady was and he said the owner. These people that run this restaurant depend on us customers and this situation made me ban my family and friends to ever go to this establishement ever again. Do your self a favor do not go to this restaurant. SHEN'S PEKING The owner and the man who takes your money are as RUDE as anybody can imagen. ( They Do not deserve...
Read moreWe order from this restaurant specifically because you can ask to leave the onions out of the fried rice. This will be the last time, Which is a shame because we have been going to this restaurant for about 5 years now. My mother-in-law whose first language is Spanish, called to place an order. As she was placing the order, the woman that answered the phone stopped her and told her "you need to stop doing that!" I took the phone and asked her what the problem is, to which she replied "she keeps ordering different things and asking for egg drop soup"! Not once to be order soup. The truth of the matter is that the lady who took our order is the one that couldn't understand what was being said and very Angrily And rudely took it out on my mother-in-law. When my husband got there to pick up the food her excuse was that they were understaffed. Customer service goes a long way. If you don't understand someone that is fine, but don't be rude to your customers, especially...
