Waffle House — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

So, if it wasn't bad enough we were not able to check in early at the Hotel we booked at . So i started craving hashbrowns with chili. Yes I'm pregnant. I remembering seeing waffel house close by, and called to check prices for a double order with chili. You could tell the lady on phone wasn't really paying attention. Cause she didn't hear day chili. She became frustrated when she thought i knotty said hashbrowns. I finally ended up getting triple order topped. Yes i use to work at a Waffle House. I sent my finance in to pay for it, and to also add a vanilla sprite. My fiance came back out and said, the young lady who took my order was like you didn't say you wanted a drink. It tasted kind of bland. So i asked him to go back inside and ask for some hot sauce. He preceded to ask lady sitting down, if they had hot sauce packets. She rudely says no they don't have anything like that. He asked could he bring bottle out here so i could put some on my hashbrowns. She said no, but said to put it in cup. Ate didn't even wanna get up from table to get the cup to hand it to him. The other lady who took my order ,came out from back. And told her to get my finace a cup to put some in it. Long story short, the lady who took my order and the lady who was sitting down where very rude & sounded very hateful & non compassionate. Bad customer service for sure. Except the cook. I used to work at a restaurant so I know how it is. But came in as a party of 6, if 3 of them went to the restroom and then after they came back no drink order had been taken, then 2 other people out of my group went to the restroom, and after they were done, still no drink order had been taken. Waited an additional 10 minutes and no sign of a waiter showing that they care about us. Looked up another waffle house nearby in like 4 minutes. Without second thoughts, I said "let's take our time and money elsewhere". Now I understand they MAY have been busy, but I saw that one waiter was refilling drinks to their party, and another was just standing there. But going to the other waffle house nearby was 50 times better where the server was very enthusiastic...

Waffle House Day Shift on Venture Dr was absolutely a delightful experience. We have lived in the area over a year, and this was our first visit, and I can guarantee you that it won't be our last!! Great service, great food, and reasonably priced. Cyndi was our server, and she was right on with suggestions on the menu when I couldn't make up my mind. I had a combination of everything for breakfast. Good thing my husband was there to help me finish such a big tasty breakfast. Eggs , bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and a waffle topped off with fresh hot coffee. This establishment is clean and the staff is friendly don't pass this one up!!! My new go to for breakfast!!!!
