So while traveling through the area, I thought I would get the typical good Zaxby's experience. Boy was I wrong! Came in through the drive through forgot to get sauce, not an extra sauce, just sauce. Went inside and was met by a nice young white guy with curly hair. Told him I didn't get any sauce and he asked me what kind. Out of nowhere a voice I can only describe as similar to the wicked witch of the west screamed from the side, "He has to pay for that." I and and the young guy were taken back by her tone and abrasiveness. I told her that I didn't get any sauce and just came through the drive thru. "You still have to pay for that and it's 25 cents per sauce," she told me. So, I literally went back to my car and found a quarter and returned with the measley coin and my receipt just in case she had more issue. When back inside she was yelling at another worker. I gave her the quarter and she didn't say anything. I asked if she was the manager, and she snarkly replied yes, as if she was waiting for me to get combative!?!? I have better things to do than to go back and forth, so I said "OK" and left. This "manager" was a short black woman with a short haircut and locs. Needless to say the young high school aged kids working there had 10x the customer service and professionalism she had. She is not management material in any shape or form. I asked for two kinds of sauces, she hands me only one. So I ask for another and she looks me right in the eyes and tells me to have a good night. So I go "oh, uh, okay" and she asks if there was something else, to which I replied that I'd asked for ketchup as well. Little did I know I would be charged for the two zaxby’s sauce. She didn’t tell me. It cost an extra 50 cents. May not sound like a lot to others. But it’s the principle of letting the customer know it’s an up charge.
Also, getting 4 chicken tender meal and given one sauce is a joke. Then having to pay for extra. I can guarantee that Chik fil la does not charge for extra. I leave with extra sauce and no charge. Neither does slim chickens.
