My review is goin to be more of a try to answer questions because this is my family I don't want someone to say well it's family so if course he gonna give good review. But I will say it's best brisket I've ever had. Some people will say they bought a rare burger because it was pink inside when bought. They grill the burgers by temperature checking each individual burger. All the burgers are grilled on a smoker grill which leaves a pink inside. You can Google this as I did because I was questionable myself. Some will say needs better and more parking. They agree with you on this and are working to expand if the rain will ever cooperate. Some might say wish had more kid friendly environment. The hopes are to add a playground and other activities. They are still growing bare with them. I talk with them daily I hear their dreams which are always for the customer. If you meet my sister in law she loves greeting new people and will always answer any questions. She takes pride in this adventure. She does this for the dream not the money trust me on that. If someone says it's to pricey I promise you the money is going to improving the farm experience not to get rich. Trust me I hate going on vacation with them they would rather be home working to improve there dream of this place. Some will say not enough hours. I always say that's on the customer. Tell your friends family and even your enemies about the place we take the good and the bad lol. I can prove this because they let me in lol. I know the owners like I said. And I know if you have a bad experience let them know before you make a bad review because they will make it right which helps make it better for...

A charming little country cafe and gift shop that's located in a (new) lovely red barn. There's no table service but the staff is helpful and friendly. Soups and sandwiches are the main offerings, with changing specials that are things like a bowl of beans with cornbread. I had the grilled cheese sandwich made with a couple different kinds of cheese and regular sandwich bread. It was perfectly cooked, not too hard and not too soggy. I also had a cup of chili, plus a side of potato salad. I loved the chili which was meaty and not spicy, which is how I like it. I liked it so much that I got a large chili to go; the only caveat being that it was a bit pricey at $9 and change, but isn't everything these days? The potato salad is not house made but is decent enough for pre-made potato salad. I also ordered a chess square to go and it was yummy; soft, buttery and sweet, as I remember them. We sat in the back where there are large windows to look out over farm like scenery and there's a large pond next to the parking lot where we saw an enormous bull come to drink. There's also an upstairs loft area where you can dine. The gift shop offers homemade bakery items plus ice cream and assorted meats for sale, in addition to other nice gift shop type items. This place is located right next to Burgess Falls State Park, which is a pleasant little drive outside Cookeville (technically...

This was the best find. The food was delicious and so smoky, the sauce was so flavorful and just the right amount of sweetness. We had a big party with 5 adults, two seven year olds and two under two. They had several large tables to choose from which was so nice that we didn’t need to rearrange anything to all sit together. Highly recommend! The only thing that didn’t go great was that the cashier at the food counter must’ve been new, which is not at all a “problem” just a glitch in the ordering process. She was very sweet and polite and tried to answer my questions, but she needed some help. She asked a kitchen helper several times, but I think she felt bad having to ask since it was so busy. It would’ve been nice if that kitchen help would have stepped up to answer the questions since she was just standing waiting for items that were still cooking to fill orders. It was our first time there, and we had lots of questions. The line was getting longer and longer behind us, so we just chose anything from the menu so we could get out of the way. Fortunately, everything was yummy. The decor was beautiful with views that equally nice. Looking forward to the next time we...

Decided to finally try this place and I am so glad we did. This is a hidden gem tucked away near Burgess Falls. This farm to table restaurant is a breath of fresh air. It's located in the cutest barn and they offer a small store of local handmade goods. I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, and coleslaw. You can tell that the ingredients they use are of quality. The burger was flavorful and hit the spot. The onion rings although they were fried had a unique batter and wasn't greasy as all. They were some of the best onion rings I've ever had. The coleslaw was the star of the show though. It is by far the best coleslaw I've ever had. I would bathe in this coleslaw lol. I would literally go back just for the coleslaw alone. After all this food I wanted a sweet treat so I ordered a strawberry ice cream made with real strawberries. It was unlike any strawberry ice cream I've ever had. Most have an artificial taste this didn't at all. It was so creamy and delicious and was the best way to end a great meal. I will definitely be going back!

The atmosphere at this charming farm store in a converted barn was fantastic! Fresh milk and beef products are available as well as a good selection of ice cream and menu that is perfect for a light lunch. We had a Patty Melt and Brisket sandwich with a margarita key lime pie for desert. Every thing was good at a fair price. The pie was definitely our favorite. Complaint are minimal, the brisket didn’t have a smoked crust or flavor but there is a smoker behind the kitchen. I just didn’t see or taste the characteristics of smoked brisket. The service was good but seemed unorganized considering most of the menu is premade. Also only one stall in the restroom and the hikers from the near by falls were in a hurry to get their chance to use the restroom. I assume people preferred to use it instead of those provided at the falls. I was raised in Texas so brisket is a staple for me so I am a tough critic I know but it was still a decent sandwich and the bun was delicious. We really liked the charm and freshness of the this place a lot.
