Would not recommend this place to anyone anymore. We have been coming to this place for over 10 years. The food use to be consistently the same and we would never have to ask for anything. For the past 5 times coming here the food has just gotten worse. Miso soup today was as if I took a cup of salt and broth and put a splash of water. Teriyaki sauce taste like cold powder definitely not the right consistency. The chicken teriyaki use to come with stir fry of veggies( has been like that for 10 years) we were told since there was different management the veggies are now separate charge, that was not a problem we would have paid for it. When trying to explain to our server what we wanted we were being ignored. The whole dish was disgusting between the boiled “stir fry” with no teriyaki sauce and the chicken that died twice and could be thrown like a hockey stick. The Fried cheese cake just save your money and go because you will not be happy nor satisfied… Cleanliness is also EXTREMELY important to having a great running business. We watched our chef that was preparing our meals walk to the gas station and open the door to that gas station with the SAME GLOVES and come right back into the kitchen. 3 hours of dining and we were the only ones in there the whole time tells a lot about the establishment and quality of the food you are eating Sushi sogo do better… we will...
Read moreI have been going to sushi Sogo for 15 years. I have always loved the food as it was a solid sushi spot for me. After COVID they shut the dinning area down and continued to do take out and delivery. I did the take out for a while but after moving away from the area and not wanting to eat sushi from a box I stopped going for about two years. Last weekend I decided to stop by to see if they opened the dinning area. Once I opened the doors I noticed the place had been remodeled. It looked very nice. I was kindly greeted and sat at the sushi bar. I told the server about my history and discussed the menu. He mentioned the restaurant was under new ownership as I already suspected with the remodel and newly printed menus. I was greeted by another gentlemen named Alex who told me he is the new owner and shared with me a little bit about how he ventured on this new journey. He shared with me some of the great ideas he intends to bring to the menu and environment and it all sounds very exciting. I enjoyed my conversation with him as I waited for my food. The sushi tasted perfect I was very happy with it! I will go back to sushi sogo again and I appreciate the warm welcome. Alex mentioned the name and menu will evolve but as long as the sushi is that good and the warm welcomes continue I am open to the evolution and I will be apart...
Read moreI ordered the seafood soup and there was barely any seafood considering the high price. I paid $40 in cash n asked them to put the remainder on my credit card. They not only charged me the full price on my credit card but also took my $40 when i confronted them about it they gave back the $40 with no apology or discount since they made me drive there 3 times for a mistake they made. The manager was not nice and didnt care even after ive been a customer for over 6 yrs. After this 2nd bad experience I am never going there EVER again. I just found a better and friendlier sushi spot called Mikan in west pembroke pines. The service there was way better the staff were more friendly and the sushi was better than sushi sogo so Mikan is my new sushi spot that i have started going and will be going for the next 6 yrs. I was very satisfied with everything there at Mikan.
Tried the place again after 6 yrs cuz of the new ownership. Another bad experience. I ordered $108 worth of takeout. When I paid the bill the computer asked for tip. I clicked no since I picked up my food. I got home, they charged me anyway. When I went to the restaurant next day the manager refused to refund my $18 tip, which I don't know what tip Is for since I picked it up. What a rip off. I have to call my bank to get the charge removed. Won't go...
