Love how they make the breakfast sandwiches at this location they are toasted right and stay warmer longer. The customer service at this location needs to be better. We are not from Florida but last time we visited Florida with a local friend she took us here. So this time I was vacationing with different friends and I had to take them to Vicky Bakery. They went crazy buying pastelitos and also ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches. They placed my family’s order and their order together in the same bag. We ordered 8 breakfast sandwiches together but only got 7. We went back to the lady to say something and she was very rude and told us that our order was complete. My friend went up to her again to let her know that we were missing a sandwich and she told her she would say something to the kitchen but wasn’t nice about it. My friend asked her how long she thought it would take since we had been in there waiting for about 25 mins already waiting. The lady rudely said she didn’t know So my friend waited a few mins and went to another lady who was a lot nicer and told her she would check to see how much longer. The other lady noticed and told the nice lady that she had already told my friend she didn’t know how long but said it loud and with an attitude. My friend told her that she had spent over $100 on pastelitos and breakfast sandwiches that she would not claim to be missing something if it wasn’t true. That was not including the amount that my family spent. Food and cafe con leche was delicious but service not so much. This was my friends first time there and it was not a great first...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this bakery for a while with my family, we enjoy there pastelitos, cafe con leche and other desserts on the weekends, but my attempts during the week for breakfast have been a bad experience whether it is full at 8am or empty at 7;15am. There is a lady there she is good and attentive, but the other younger women there can be extremely rude and petty. I ordered my breakfast over the phone to pick up. When I arrived at 8am there was a line. So I by passed the line of the people ordering and went straight to the register as I had done on other occasions. The girls behind the counter saw me and gave me a look like “make the line or we are ignoring you” they kept ignoring me and taking care of the people in line. Finally I said to one of the four girls working. I’m sorry but I called in my order, it is sitting right there, I just need to pay and go. The young lady said ok one moment and went off to talk to the lady making cafe. I got upset and told the lady “excuse me but what is the points of pre-ordering my food if I have to stand in the same line where people are ordering now. I was so upset I would have left, but I had other peoples orders as well. Finally an older lady gave me my food and I left. Have not gone back ever since. I found...
Read moreWalking into Vicky Bakery is like entering my own little Cuban coffee sanctuary. Why? Because their Cuban coffee is not just a drink; it's a ritual. Consistently hitting the mark in terms of taste and price, it's become my regular pitstop. And here's the bonus – they've got decaf for those mellow days.
Now, let's chat about the atmosphere. The service vibe is a classic Hialeah bakery experience – laid-back and straightforward. If you're not used to the chill vibes, it might feel a bit low-energy, but for me, it's like a comforting routine. Once you embrace it, you'll find it's all part of the charm.
The only downside? No dine-in option. There's this lonely table and a couple of chairs that seem more like bakery decor than actual seating. Sure, I'd love to linger and enjoy my coffee inside, but it's strictly a grab-and-go scenario.
Despite the lack of a cozy sit-down option, Vicky Bakery remains my caffeine haven. When the coffee's this good, you learn to appreciate the simplicity. If you're in the mood for a reliable spot with killer Cuban coffee and don't mind the easygoing bakery vibes, Vicky's the place to be. It's my coffee escape, and I'm always singing...
