What would you like to know about first?! The 'Sit down and order at your table' restaurant... The 'Choose your own ingredients' (like Qdoba or Subway) restaurant.... The bar.... The store.... Of course, I will only review on what we experienced. We found this place by accident. We were greeted by a lovely woman who seated us with menus. Seeing the Qdoba style setting when I first walked in worried me, as I don't like that style of Restaurant and my Husband will take care of that for me. It was reminiscent of the Mom-and-Pop style restaurant with the ambience of a Mexican restaurant. We were there at a less busy time, so I'm not sure if they would be able to keep that atmosphere going during rush hour. We had a wonderful time! The food was great! Although my Husband's dish, he said, could have been a little more spicy. And didn't come out as hot as mine did. I love chips and they brought plenty to the table. My husband wanted to make sure that I add, in this review, that you better be ready to take a doggy bag, as they give you plenty of food! And he is a hearty eater. I took pictures of the restaurant. As I noticed online there are many, many pictures of the food, but not so many of the inside. I hope they are clear, as I didn't check them first.. The waitress may remember who we are, when she reads that my husband had a complaint... He told her "There's a problem in the bathroom. The sign says 'employees must wash hands' but no one came in to do it. I had to do it on my own!" It took her a short moment..... We WILL be going back to this hidden gem!!...
Read moreAlthough the young lady explained everything clearly to me, there were SO MANY CHOICES,I didn't know what to get! It's like a Mexican Subway, you walk up, order your "bread"-tortilla, tostada, etc, then 6-8 meat choices, then beans, (so good!), rice, then the toppings! I couldn't count how many toppings they had to choose from!! The flavors of what I ended up with was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating my food! Even though after 3 bites, tears were rolling down my face, my nose was on full run mode & my tongue was throbbing the food was so hot! I think I went through half a dispenser worth of napkins, all the ice in my coke, & most of the salt in the shaker trying to ease the heat in that food! By the time I got to the car, I had 2 blisters (seriously) on the back of my tongue! We had to stop down the street for ice cream so I could lay my tougue on the coldness! I have no idea what was so hot but if you like heat...that's the place to go! The flavors are absolutely fantastic! I don't know when I ate 2 tostadas, rice & beans at one sitting. But be prepared & bring along your own...
Read moreAlright, I really like this place but I feel like I meed to update this review after a couple bad experiences. All of these were separate instances. I had tacos that smelled and tasted like fish because of cross contamination or inadequate storing techniques. Recently I asked for 3 simple ingredients on my tacos and didn't receive one of them. Lastly I asked for a side of rice and was given beans. I understand mistakes are made in all lines of work, we're human. However, if you're going to let what appear to be minors operate the counter make sure they are at least supervised to prevent mistakes like this. After the third one I was admittedly frustrated because my order are not by any means difficult. Word of advice when eating here, just give your food a quick look over to give everyone a fair chance to...
